early, Early, EARLY, prediction...Who's better, Cats -vs- Cards?

Featured Replies

I am inclined to believe that UK is playing much better right now. Is U of L doing some necessary things to get much needed playing time for young kids? Is UK getting the boys ready? I don't have an answer yet, but this can be very interesting this early on.

I'll judge after their first real game, but if they were to play right now, I'll say the Cardinals would overwhelm with their depth and come out victorious.

I'm sure Billy Clyde will get the Cats going a lot stronger this year than last, but there's no denying the Cardinals this year.

Barring injuries, both teams should make it deep into the playoffs.

UK will have a lot of new faces, which usually takes time early in the season.

I don't take too much from these exhibition games with any team. You posted this last night with the NKU game fresh on your mind so I'm assuming you think your Cards should have beat NKU with a little more ease.

NKU had a guy hit 9 threes last night. That doesn't happen often and I'm 99% sure it won't happen again to Louisville.

Exhibition games are what they are. They're a chance for coaches to play different players, different rotations and just experiment. Players get significant minutes in exhibition games that won't see the floor much once the season starts.

Louisville has the better team. They have better players and are deeper than the Cats. They should beat UK this year and should have a great season. That being said, basketball is a funny game. It only takes a few bad showings to ruin a season. And the UK/UL game is a rivalry, while UL should win, anything can happen.

The Cards have a great team and will be fine this season.

I am a huge UK fan but UL is a lot better going into the season.

UK by 20.

I'll have to admit, I used to hate these posts of yours. But I've actually grown quite fond of them. I'm almost to the point where I can see a thread title and be like, "Wireman has posted in there..."

As to the thread title, I'll have to say the Cards at this point, just because they have a little more veteran leadership. Only time will tell though.

All in good fun, my man :thumb:
