Raceland SHOULD win this one easily, if they play like they are capable. I hope that you keep your heads on straight and stay focused. Remember, the #1 ranking and the perfect regular season are great accomplishments, but now they mean nothing. All they have done is created high expectations for yourselves, and I know that if you all play like you can, then you will exceed those expectations.

Just another note to keep you focused. If you can go 10-0 and be the only area undefeated team, one of only 6 in the entire state and can't get any local respect, you better go earn all you can get on your own! There has never been and probably never will be respect for us 1A boys in this area. Rams, go out and smack the opponent in the mouth on every play against every opponent for the next 5 weeks and we'll see if the 'Wizard's of The Independent's Sports Department' change their minds. Hard to believe the soon to be named #1 team in 1A can't get a break in our own area. Truly sad!

Stop Clintons Qback( Durham ) and you win easily. You will not be able to tell how good you are after this week, if you go by this game. Come back and tell me how correct I am after the game.

Obviously Raceland is the better team. Clinton has went 1-19 in the past two years. But they just started their program and you have to start somewhere. The object of the game is not to just walk away with a W. But to improve as a team! Players,coaches everyone must get better on every snap. And you think just because Raceland is "better" Clinton is going to just give them the game? I'm pretty sure undefeated Penn St. thought they were better than Iowa last Saturday too.

I told her that that was her job, and that I was no maid. I also told her that when she got home from work, she had better get dinner cooked and on the table.

The Rams need to remember what got them here thus far...the business-like, one game at-a-time approach which began back in June. Five more weeks of this approach & we will see something special.

Nicholas Co. We sent in the stats to the paper. That's why they had a small sports brief in the paper about it.

Was that game in Nicholas Co.? For those of you criticizing the Daily Independent, do you realize that they had to lay off some of their staff this year, and that Mark Maynard has had to help out with sports coverage along with doing his daily editor duties? The sports staff has two full time employees to cover how many local schools? I realize that everyone wants to see their kids names in black and white, but it's just not economically feasible for the paper to be able to cover all the schools, and keep everyone happy. I know Mark Maynard would love to hear from anyone who wants to help cover games for the Daily Independent.

You don't know us too well. Ram is considered the King of Sandbagging and we are his loyal followers.:lol:

 

Hey now, I can do a pretty good job of that on my own thank you very much, LOL. As a matter of fact, Ram heard same of thoise same speeches from some of us old guys when he was playing,LOL. I along with some others remember coach Ben Pumphrey at Nicholas Co. years ago. Now that man as the undisputed king of "el toro poo poo", LOL. Coach Pumphrey was a great man and a great coach, ws respected by all. Coach Pumphrey passed a couple of years ago. May he r.i.p..

Well put oldrambler, Sargent-Major Morris is a great man, a great roll model, a great teacher, and a great American. His service is greatly appreciated and should be thought about daily. He missed his son's graduation while being deployed and has missed many other things, by his choosing, he could have retired several years ago from the military, but choose to see this matter through, no matter what the cost.

 

Many people could learn a lot from Coach Morris.

 

And, a big thank you to all the other members of the Raceland family who have served, or is serving in the armed forces.:thumb:

United States Marine I want to also give a huge thank you to our young men and women who are now serving to protect our freedoms. I would also like to say thank you to all of my fellow veterans for your service. It is those who are willing to pay the price that sacrafice everything for the entire country.
