I am telling you after our first 3 weeks, I didn't think we would win more than 3 games. The big difference is Will Smith moved from TE to tackle to help his team. Will has brought this young o-line togther. He is a true leader. They are not the greatest bunch when it comes to strength and technique. But they work hard everyday to get better. Tyler Mattison and Micheal Rawlings have developed into solid guys as well. Coach Tom Roberts does a great job of teaching them. He had to start from scratch with this goup. I am more excited about what this o-line group could develope into next season.

Thriller of a game. Lived up to the billing.

 

Many points could be made but here's a key one. Special teams did play a big factor. Danville didn't allow any big kick returns, but they had 3 extra-point attempts blocked and failed a two-point conversion. Take those 4 PATs and give them to Danville and it's a tie game.

 

But that's just hindsight. Cograts to Frankfort. Hold your heads up high, Ads. You will be primed and ready to go come playoff time.

 

Can we officially call this a rivalry of sorts, or does this game mean a lot more to Frankfort than it does to Danville? And will this game be played for another two years, Coach?

Great win last night! I think that was one of the best high school football games I've ever attended (Almost as good as the County game, even though we lost that one in OT :irked: ).

Yes lose both of them, but FHS has had several other kids play a lot of minutes that will be able to step in.

Frankfort must be better than I gave them credit for, or is Danville slipping.

You are correct that Frankfort uses this game to measure and prepare them for the playoffs. Because FHS still looks at the Admiral Program as one of the best in the state. The Ads shouldn't care about this game, the playoffs are more important.

 

Just like FHS cares more about beating Dayton, Bellevue and Beechwood.

I don't see either of these 2 things happening this year, definitely not the Boyle game because it is already in the books. I want to see Danville and Boyle bring home State Championships and make this Title Town once again.

And why shouldn't Danville care bout this game with it being the last game of the regular season and you'd think you would want to gather all the momentum you can going into the playoffs.

Danville should never lose to Frankfort.. Maybe Danville is not the Old Danville !! What is going on with them?? :confused:

They play 2 quarters like the best team in the state and 2 quarters like the worst team in the state. I can't figure it out. If they put 4 quarters together, they would win a state title. The way they are now, I can't see them getting past the 3rd round of the playoffs.
