They play 2 quarters like the best team in the state and 2 quarters like the worst team in the state. I can't figure it out. If they put 4 quarters together, they would win a state title. The way they are now, I can't see them getting past the 3rd round of the playoffs.

Well, when I played, I got myself up all week long. Come Friday night, I was ready to kill everyone I could get my hands on in an opposite colored jersey. If the whistle didn't blow, I was going to put some pads on you and hit you as hard as I could hit you. After the whistle blew, I was going to fall on you and lay on you as long as the refs would allow. If I could get away with it, I was going to do anything else I could to hurt you while you were on the bottom of the pile. If we were ahead 65-0, I was going to knock your teeth out if possible. If we were behind 0-65, I was going to knock your teech out if possible. If I didn't get to hit someone, I was frustrated all weekend and wanted revenge the following week. I played football with alot of heart and guts, even though I was undersized and not really all that strong in high school.

 

When I watch Danville, I don't see that type of intensity. I see players going through the motions and not laying their heart and soul on the line. When they get the lead, they are lackadaisical. The worst thing is when they get really far behind - they play their hearts out to back in the game, but they end up so spent that they can't seal the deal. They just don't seem to come out of the lockerroom ready to kill their opponents. That's what I don't see form this team.

I don't think Danville really cares about this game. Frankfort hangs their hat on this game every year to determine if they are good or not. There are two things Danville cares about and that's beating Boyle and winning another title.

Danville should never lose to Frankfort.. Maybe Danville is not the Old Danville !! What is going on with them?? :confused:

 

Why not? Frankfort works just as hard trying to build a great program. Even Rome had to fall.

Win 10 titles then call back about Rome, Frankfort won and deserved to win. Dont confuse down years at Danville with other teams normal years.

Well Danville hasnt been normal for the last couple years I guess...

Since 2004 Danville has been competing with very few true football players. They somehow made state finals twice, but did not really look like past Danville teams. So ,yes Danville is and has been down for some time in my opinion.

Since they started play Frankfort is when they are not the "Normal" Danville...:thumb: I get what your saying.

Not exactly, If you knew anything about Danville football or CHAMPIONSHIPS, you would actually reallize that Danville has been through this stage before in the late 90,s (95-99) with Jeremy Britt transfer exception (98). I dont think they played Frankfort in that era. Nor did they play the mighty Panthers during their best days in the late 80's early 90's.
