Looks like another nail-biter for Highlands.

I could have swore that growing up in Fort Thomas that they had always done trick or treat on the Sunday closest to Halloween from 4-6....It worked out good because Newport's was from 6-8 on the same day.

Don't take the kids trick or treating around the High School. There are plenty of great subdivisions and side streets a mile from the school, stick to those streets if your worried about the kids safety.:thumb:

Maybe all the parents could bring their candy to the game. Then the kids could just go trick-or-treating up and down the aisles. Shoot, they'd probably bring in more haul that way than the traditional route.

 

Or maybe we could get Boom to fill the cannon with candy and fire it out over the field Piñata-style.

The entire backfield..Keyshawn Simpson, Isaiah Kavanaugh and Shane King. All are very tough runners, with Kavanaugh being the faster of the bunch.

 

:thumb: They are loaded with speed. Simpson is a big strong back and Kavanaugh is very quick. Shane King runs very hard.

 

I think Highlands will be just too much for the Indians. MC will score early and be in it, but in the 2nd half, HHS starts to pull away.

I think it's pretty horrible planning too. You're forcing parents to make a decision between supporting their high school (perhaps their own children) and providing a Halloween experience for younger children. Then, as already mentioned, there is the safety factor. We're going to have all those crazy people from Madison County zipping around town trying to find non-existant parking spots before the game gets into halftime.

 

It seems like a no-brainer that the trick-or-treat time should have been moved to a different day.

 

Again I ask, why couldn't the game be scheduled for Saturday? That would have give Madison Central people the opportunity to participate in their trick or treat.

Since we think we should move the game to accomodate everyone else, I have things to do on Saturday. They should play the game on Sunday. Nope, can't do that, I have farm work to do on Sunday. Move the game to Monday.

LexCath beat MC in a scrimmage in week one. Scott County beat MC recently. LexCath beat SC. Highlands beat LexCath 41-0. Do the math.

We were contemplating just taking kids trick or treating on the way to the game. Then have warmer clothes to change into at game. We walk to the games anyway, may as well get some candy on the way. I just feel bad for the kids who don't get candy from my house this year. I finally live on a street where I would have gotten some trick or treaters. I lived on Grand the last 3 years and only got 1 trick or treater the entire 3 years being there! Oh well, sorry kids of Fort Thomas, I guess you'll just have to wait till next year. Go to the game, maybe you'll find some candy there.

As to the bolded part, their dental insurer doesn't feel bad for them at all. Seriously, there will be plenty of people home handing out candy. I really doubt that any kid is going to go wanting for Halloween candy because of the football game.
