Does Highlands do any tailgating in that lot?

 

Parking is reserved for Sideline Club members. There are normally some Sideline Club members and Highlands fans tailgating in the lot.

Who are some of the players to watch for MC?

 

MC has a big O line. No. 67 (Warford) has committed to UK. He's a biggun (6'4" 300 plus) and actually moves pretty well. He also plays some defense when they go into a their 60 defense.

Tyler Mays. Extremely fast and talented on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. I believe he returns kicks as well. Could be a spoiler for the opposition.

I am still trying to figure out what mayor of a huge football town would schedule trick or treat the same time as a football game? I am going to find out who helped schedule that and make sure that no one votes for them next election. I already voted due to my being out of town, but, I think it's crazy that we have to compete with that! I guess I'll have to do the ole' leave a basket with the sign of "just take one please" on it on the porch. A P.S.A. to all fans on both sides: Please be careful while driving through town going to the game! Our children, our future, our legacies are going to be out there and they may not be able to see you while crossing the street or driveways.

I don't have a problem with it. Heck, over the years I've probably handed out more candy to the kids from Dayton and Newport than the Fort Thomas kids. I enjoy sitting out front and watching the kids , but I'm glad to take a break this year, save a few bucks and watch my Bluebirds play football. :banana:

I'm sure there will be plenty of people to hand out candy but the safety of the kids should come first. I think it's POOR planning on the city's part and I really don't understand why the times keep changing every year or every other year???

Henry, your right! The kids won't miss the Air Heads. It's the parents that will be most disappointed. They're going to miss your beverages. Sorry for getting off the subject........

I think the time is perfect! Actually ON Halloween and 6-8 is not too early or too late. If anything could be changed, the game could go to Saturday. We'll be handing out the treats and catch the game after 8.

Just leave notes on your doors that the candy will be passed out in the lot across the street from the HS until 7:15! Our Mayor is a fine woman and always has what's best for the ENTIRE city in mind. There was just no "perfect" choice solution this year. Madison Central will be a scary opponent for the Birds. I saw the game film and they have 2-3 really good backs and of course the D-1 KY stud on the line. Special teams will decide if this one stays tight!

I think it's pretty horrible planning too. You're forcing parents to make a decision between supporting their high school (perhaps their own children) and providing a Halloween experience for younger children. Then, as already mentioned, there is the safety factor. We're going to have all those crazy people from Madison County zipping around town trying to find non-existant parking spots before the game gets into halftime.

 

It seems like a no-brainer that the trick-or-treat time should have been moved to a different day.

Don't take the kids trick or treating around the High School. There are plenty of great subdivisions and side streets a mile from the school, stick to those streets if your worried about the kids safety.:thumb:
