First of all, I'm not carried away with anything. But if you don't think there are some people who HATE Obama, you haven't been out and about much. My comments have nothing to do with race. As many have stated, they have many other reasons for their dislike of Obama. There are even those that would LOVE to see riots, as it would emphasize the apparent "heathen"ness of those who support Obama.

 

You can try and project whatever thoughts you think I may be thinking into my posts. But, I said exactly what I mean. And I have no qualms about the veracity of my comments, based on my own experience.

I didn't have to "project" a thing. You chose to use the word hatred. I see that as getting carried away. As I said, there are always going to be a set of people who hate. But this election, and Barack Obama, don't have any corner on that market.

 

Most normal people, and I think that applies to the people here at BGP, would never want to see riots. So I think, in this case, it's you that is projecting thoughts onto other people, that don't necessarily belong there. I know you have no qualms about what you're saying; but I also know that you are painting with an awfully broad brush.

 

The vast majority of those who are "anti-Obama" are so because his policy positions are misguided in both the economy and foreign policy. He's associated himself with highly questionable characters. He's not qualified to hold the position. He has espoused philosophies and ideas that are radical and dangerous.

 

Barack may be well spoken, but the substance just isn't there. And that has nothing to do with hatred...just reality. :thumb:

Once again, I never said BGP posters. Once again, that's a projection. Again, there are other people with whom I discuss politics that have no idea what BGP is. Once again, I used the word hatred, because there are some who actually hate the man.
