The record here is very, very clear. Obama initially said that he opposed the bill in Illinois because it didn’t have the “neutrality clause” included in the federal version of the legislation. As documentation proved, Obama voted against it even with the neutrality clause added.

I saw on Snopes where Huntley Brown indeed wrote the email you posted. He also wrote this response to Snopes verifying his convictions NOT to vote for Obama but to also pray for him were he elected President.

Yes, it is. And should Obama become our next President I too, will be praying for him and our country ( we will need it!). At this time, however, I am praying more diligently that he doesn't get elected.

So what is the point to me writing, if you are convicted to not to vote for Obama or MCcain for that matter great, but do not judge others for their voting (watch the beam in your own eye, I believe was the warning), instead, focus on what matters spreading the message that OUR Savior Died for our sins and that through Him, we can once again be connected to the Almighty. That is what we are committed to doing, Mathew Ch. 28 verse 19.

 

We are also suppossed to love one another and love God, I think that I read that somewhere as well.

This is a slippery slope line of argument, my friend. How can you vote for a candidate who has (repeatedly) born false witness against his opponent? Who committed adultery against his first wife?

 

As Obama has against McCain. They have both stretched the truth in their campaigning, I guess it is only bad if the other side does it, not your own.

 

And while I am not privy to what caused McCain's first marriage to end in divorce, I can only go on what his ex wife says, and her comments lead me to believe that both of them were different people while he was a POW and their marriage fell apart. She also has stated that he is a good man. For a spurned wife, she seems awfully supportive.

 

I also don't think that even if he committed adultery, it is the same as some of the abortion arguments.

See my quote and wording below (bolded). The first bolded part in my reply was meant to be a joke (I apologize for forgetting the or something similar). It was meant to be taken as if the intel told us that we had been attacked that it was indeed bad intel.

If that's the case, how can someone support declaring war on a country that did not attack us? Don't answer because of how evil their dictator clearly was (true) and how bad things were in their country. If that's the case, we should be attacking several other countries, too.

 

Why is this thread not aimed at voting for any democrat and not just Sen. Obama? After all, even though they are being twisted (Obama is not FOR infanticide), the premise behind your points come from the democratic platform.

We, as Christians, are to vote for the candidate that most exemplifies Christian values . . . any candidate who is pro-abortion, supports a bill on infanticide, and refuses to vote for a ban on partial birth abortion does not exemplify Christian values. McCain has issues as well . . . but he is pro-life. His voting record proves it. Vote your conscience . . . you and I both will have to answer to God one day for how we voted. God Bless.

This is the kind of failed logic that honestly turns me off to some in my own party. I personally can't stand Obama and will not vote for him under any circumstances, but I am not naive enough to think that my Christianity is what keeps me from voting for him. Jesus state in the bible that how you treat the least of men is how you treat him. I will say this for Obama and the democrats they have a firm grasp on helping the poor. That is also one of the biggest short comings of the Democrat party is how have forgotten what Christian principles they represent.

How many infants would not be viable if they were placed in a soiled linen closet and then denied medical treatment? It is not a doctor's right to deny medical treatment to a living, breathing human being on the basis of potential "viability." Nor should that call belong to a pandering politician.

 

Obama consistently voted on the side of hospitals that denied the victims of botched abortions potentially life saving medical treatment and then he lied about his reasons for opposing the legislation. The record is very clear on this issue and is non-spinnable.

 

I know of no major religion that defends infanticide. Reasonable people may disagree on the point of when life begins but reasonable people agree that life has begun for live born, breathing human infants. The deserve the medical treatment that Obama voted to deny them.

I agree with the phrase, "love the sinner but hate the sin" and I believe that we are forgetting to hate the sin. Now, I know you are being sarcastic, but here is the truth, things have been wrong since the beginning, the old testiment was given to make them right, but even though the law was perfect, we still could not follow, so God sent His Son to tell/show us the true meaning of the law.

 

With the examples given we are held accountable by our action. So I guess your question is "what action do I take?" Do I vote for Obama or MCcain?

I personally am convicted about a more important question, "How do I show the Christ is the Only Way, how can I show my neighbor that I love him or her, how can I show God that I cherish Him? OK so three in one questions.

 

I will do it by one individual at time, continually prayer hopeful from everyone here, and try to take right action by doing, instead of talking about things that are out of my control.

 

As for my vote, I am voting for Bob Barr, only because I believe that church needs to take more responsibility instead of the government, but if the church does not want it, then I will support the government in helping others.
