If you are a Christian who is voting for Obama, please answer these questions

Featured Replies

First of all I am not starting this thread to be mean spirited, hateful, or to stir anything up. I have been burdened by the poll results of this election. If they are accurate then many Christians will be pulling the lever for Obama. I would like them to honestly answer the following questions . . .

1. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate who is not only FOR abortion but infanticide?

2. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate whose policies clearly denegrate the family system in promoting the Gay and Lesbian agenda (not just tolerating their lifestyle but endorsing it) and giving them "special rights" above and beyond what they already have as citizens?

3. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate who is against protecting the "Man-Woman" Marriage on the ballot?

4. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate who supports adoption of children by homosexuals?

5. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate who supports Partial Birth abortion? Where nearly completing born live infants are stabbed in the back of the head and their brains are vacuumed out? HORRIBLE!!!

I have heard all the arguments about this including "I don't vote single issue" "Roe v. Wade" will not be overturned, etc. etc.

On the homosexual issue "what does that have to do with me?" "I don't care what others do in private" etc. etc.

But the underlying precept is that you, as a Christian, are backing a man who goes against the Word of God ---the very Word of God that you say you believe and practice. I have come to the conclusion that many Christians are nominal only professioning to believe but not posessing the Spirit of God. If you do not have enough spirtual discernment as a Christian to see that this man is directly opposed to our fundamental Christian values, I am concerned that maybe you have been deceived.

Once again, please take the time to examine your heart . . . this election is about much more than money in our pockets, less taxes, more entitlements, etc. it is about the very fabric of our Nation as designed by our forefathers. It could fashion our society for ruin if we do not honor the One who created it and who has blessed us for over 200 years. It is an extremely serious matter. Please consider the dire ramifications.

I will continue to intercede for our Nation and for the intervention of our Precious Lord and Savior to turn the hearts of His own and protect us from the enemies of our Faith and practice.

This is a slippery slope line of argument, my friend. How can you vote for a candidate who has (repeatedly) born false witness against his opponent? Who committed adultery against his first wife?

How is him cheating on his first wife going to affect me? I have said over and over, this year we're choosing the lesser of two evils - regardless of who wins.

You compare this with infanticide?

And thus the slope has been greased.

Love the avatar, do not like the innuendo that you can't be vote for Obama and really be a Christian.

If that's the case, how can someone support declaring war on a country that did not attack us? Don't answer because of how evil their dictator clearly was (true) and how bad things were in their country. If that's the case, we should be attacking several other countries, too.

Why is this thread not aimed at voting for any democrat and not just Sen. Obama? After all, even though they are being twisted (Obama is not FOR infanticide), the premise behind your points come from the democratic platform.

You compare this with infanticide?

Please find me a direct quote where Obama says "I support infanticide".

His voting record say it all, my friend. ;)

In the end, any answers I give will be dismissed. I believe the issues you outline are religious in nature, and I will expend my efforts through my Church and community to effect reform on those areas. When choosing a President, there are many more issues that affect the country as a whole from which to pick and choose.

We went in on the Intel that was available.

His record says otherwise.

If you consider both sins...aren't all sins equal in God's eyes?

Character issue. If we're going to talk about "associations" that speak to a person's character, why limit the discussion to associations where the participants were wearing clothes?

Now, I don't really think McCain's adulterous affair disqualifies him on character, but I also don't think Obama's sensationalized associations disqualify him.

Easy-

1. No sin is greater than the next. (So death is equal to cheating)

2. You can be a Christian and support a womans right to choose.(This is what democrats really support. It is not our judge folks who choose to tae part in abortion)

Uh oh. Character issue huh? Well, let's just eliminate every politician at every level (city, county, state, federal, and even the president of the PTO).
