I understand what you're saying, but to me it's not a big deal for either candidate. If he wants to keep his relationship with God private, I fully respect that. Both have openly admitted they are Christian, and I have no reason to doubt either of them.

How many infants would not be viable if they were placed in a soiled linen closet and then denied medical treatment? It is not a doctor's right to deny medical treatment to a living, breathing human being on the basis of potential "viability." Nor should that call belong to a pandering politician.

 

Obama consistently voted on the side of hospitals that denied the victims of botched abortions potentially life saving medical treatment and then he lied about his reasons for opposing the legislation. The record is very clear on this issue and is non-spinnable.

 

I know of no major religion that defends infanticide. Reasonable people may disagree on the point of when life begins but reasonable people agree that life has begun for live born, breathing human infants. The deserve the medical treatment that Obama voted to deny them.

First of all I am not starting this thread to be mean spirited, hateful, or to stir anything up. I have been burdened by the poll results of this election. If they are accurate then many Christians will be pulling the lever for Obama. I would like them to honestly answer the following questions . . .

 

1. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate who is not only FOR abortion but infanticide?

 

2. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate whose policies clearly denegrate the family system in promoting the Gay and Lesbian agenda (not just tolerating their lifestyle but endorsing it) and giving them "special rights" above and beyond what they already have as citizens?

 

3. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate who is against protecting the "Man-Woman" Marriage on the ballot?

 

4. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate who supports adoption of children by homosexuals?

 

5. How can you as a Christian vote for a candidate who supports Partial Birth abortion? Where nearly completing born live infants are stabbed in the back of the head and their brains are vacuumed out? HORRIBLE!!!

 

I have heard all the arguments about this including "I don't vote single issue" "Roe v. Wade" will not be overturned, etc. etc.

 

On the homosexual issue "what does that have to do with me?" "I don't care what others do in private" etc. etc.

 

But the underlying precept is that you, as a Christian, are backing a man who goes against the Word of God ---the very Word of God that you say you believe and practice. I have come to the conclusion that many Christians are nominal only professioning to believe but not posessing the Spirit of God. If you do not have enough spirtual discernment as a Christian to see that this man is directly opposed to our fundamental Christian values, I am concerned that maybe you have been deceived.

 

Once again, please take the time to examine your heart . . . this election is about much more than money in our pockets, less taxes, more entitlements, etc. it is about the very fabric of our Nation as designed by our forefathers. It could fashion our society for ruin if we do not honor the One who created it and who has blessed us for over 200 years. It is an extremely serious matter. Please consider the dire ramifications.

 

I will continue to intercede for our Nation and for the intervention of our Precious Lord and Savior to turn the hearts of His own and protect us from the enemies of our Faith and practice.

I don't believe allowing homosexuals to have the same rights as heterosexuals to be denigrating to families. I'm not aware of any homosexual to have caused the divorce of a married couple

 

 

 

Marriage is a religious institution, outside of that I don't have any qualms with homosexuals being given the right to enter into civil unions, which is what Obama supports.

 

 

 

Can homosexuals not make good parents? I think they can, and it is certainly better than the foster/orphanage/ward of state system we have now.

I do have a few questions of my own. Why, as a Christian, do you feel compelled to adopt such disdain for homosexuals? Perhaps you view it as a sin, which is fine, but what Biblical impetus do you have to act against them? I suppose I have a perverted view of the faith, at least according to most here, but I believe we are commanded to love everyone, and through that maybe others will see something (God) in the world they didn't previously. I'm also not aware of any theocratic structure of government adopted or proposed by Jesus.

 

I do not have disdain for homosexuals, I do, however, believe their lifestyle is sinful and disdain the sin. We are commanded by God to speak the truth in love. That is exactly why I posted my questions. In the end you will have to answer to God for your choice . . . I just wanted those who profess to be Christians to truly examine their hearts before deciding. I am still unable to wrap my mind around the fact that a true Christian could actually even consider voting for Obama considering his anti-biblical stance on these issues. God Bless.
