I think that what Nixon and Liddy tried to do was much more of a danger to the country than anything that the weather underground did. Let's be clear. The weather underground members were criminals. There is no excuse for what they did. Liddy falls into the same category, except that his group was more of a danger to the country. That said, it was all a long time ago. I wouldn't hold it against McCain if he knows Liddy and I don't hold it against Obama that he knows Ayers.

1. Was Ayers engaged in terrorist activities during the period of time Obama has known him?

2. When was Ayers' last known terrorist activities?

3. Has Obama conspired in any terrorist activities?

4. Has Obama condemned Ayers' past?

 

All said and done, is it possible Obama just used Ayers as a stepping stone to advance his political career?

 

 

Your questions are irrelevant. Ayers is an unrepentant terrorist and Obama had a close relationship with him before he decided to run for president. Those are the stubborn facts.

 

Why did Obama lie about the nature of his relationship with Ayers if their association is no problem? Obama's trustworthiness is the issue being raised by McCain and Palin and the disconnect between Obama's words and reality are causing some panic within the Obama campaign.

Obama has been smart enough to know that many people (not his hard core supporters) would be turned off by his socialist past. However, Obama's pal, Bill Ayers, makes no bones about his educational beliefs. The Chicago Annenberg Challenge was Ayers' baby and he recruited Barrack Obama to dispense its "educational" grants.

 

Here are some of Ayers's thoughts on educations, which he shared less than two years ago with his pal Hugo Chavez and other fellow revolutionaries. Maybe Obama never heard anything like this when he was helping run the Annenberg Challenge for Ayers. Maybe this is not the Bill Ayers that Barrack Obama knew.

This is my fourth visit to Venezuela, each time at the invitation of my comrade and friend Luis Bonilla, a brilliant educator and inspiring fighter for justice. Luis has taught me a great deal about the Bolivarian Revolution and about the profound educational reforms underway here in Venezuela under the leadership of President Chavez. We share the belief that education is the motor-force of revolution, and I’ve come to appreciate Luis as a major asset in both the Venezuelan and the international struggle—I look forward to seeing how he and all of you continue to overcome the failings of capitalist education as you seek to create something truly new and deeply humane. Thank you, Luis, for everything you’ve done.

 

I also thank my youngest son, Chesa Boudin, who is interpreting my talk this morning and whose book on the Bolivarian revolution has played an important part in countering the barrage of lies spread by the U.S. State Department and the corrupted Northamerican media.

I do agree with Ayers about the "Northamerican" media spreading lies. They are also proving to be pretty adept at covering up the truth about his friend, Barrack Obama.

Before McCain picked Palin as his running mate I would have considered voting for him. This is the man that said I would rather win the war than an election, and then he makes this pick. Her fear mongering is not working, and is probably going to backfire. I was insulted by this pick and I'm not even a woman. Ayers did something 40 years ago, so this friendship really doesn't bother me. While Obama is trying to calm our fears all McCain and Palin are doing is trying to create more fear.
