October 4, 200817 yr Gotta give UK credit for hanging in there with the bend-but-don't-break defense.
October 4, 200817 yr Could anyone make out what Saban said to Brooks at midfield after the game? You could barely hear it. Didn't know if anyone else had it on Tivo or could hear it? He said, "Helluva job."
October 4, 200817 yr So the question becomes, just where does 'Bama belong in the rankings? I was ready to annoint them last week, but that was clearly premature. I think they probably belong around 10. They are clearly not as good as they looked last week, but not as bad as they looked at times today.
October 4, 200817 yr I picked Bama to win big, UK's defense like I have said will keep them in a lot of games but their offense just isn't good enough to win the these games. Last season that wasn't a problem, the offense was more than good enough to win them games but now it has flip flopped. Hartline had a few good looking passes, the last TD to Ford was made thanks to the Alabama DB's, Ford was wide open, much like Steve Johnson's TD againt UofL last season. Kentucky could have some good wins this season but the offense has a lot to work on first. The defense is good and can keep them there, the offense just needs to get over the hump.
October 4, 200817 yr Well if it hadn't happened, the Cats might be coming home with a win. It was definitely a huge play for the Tide. Well by that token, the field goal should be the play of the game. That literally won it for them.
October 4, 200817 yr Great effort. Hartline sucks. He did play some better in the 2nd Half. But I agree.
October 4, 200817 yr Greatest note of the game is that UK's defense did very little to no substituting in this game and they still almost pulled out the win. Very good to see that they can play the whole game with just as much intensity as they began the game with.
October 4, 200817 yr Great effort. Hartline sucks. How you figure? Hartline is just a sophmore playing in his 5th game of his career against a very good Bama defense.
