Funny thing is that this means our criminal justice system failed if he was convicted on this crime as punishment for his acquittal on the murder charges. I won't lie - I, too, am happy he's been convicted and will be locked away for a several years - but it is a bit scary if you believe (as I do) that this trial was all about the last trial. That is not what our justice system is about. It is not about "bad karma" (I understand your point though) or revenge or fixing a past wrong/mistake.

 

If I had to take a guess, I think the judge will take some of this into consideration (also something the justice system really isn't about) and will give Simpson a sentence on the lighter side.

I think you got part of my point. I was pointing out that although found not guilty in the murder trial, I think he was guilty, but he will forever be innocent of that crime since that is what a jury found. His Ego (along with Karma) lead him down this road of bad decisions which led him to these crimes....of which I have no doubt he is also guilty....and a jury found him guilty, so regardless a guilty man finds his way to jail.

But I think the first trial had nothing to do with this result. There was a lot of evidence in this case.

 

The problem is that OJ thinks he is above the law, because of the first trial, and the civil trial. Yes, he lost that one, but still isn't paying the money he was ordered too. Soundls like my ex-wife actually! Can you imagine any other famous athlete/actor/crime of the century participant robbing someone at gunpoint and expecting to walk?!? That takes some.......

We should all take it upon ourselves to continue searching the golf courses of America to continue looking for Nicole's killer!

I was very glad to hear this. I hope he does get a life sentence--then lives to be 115 years old and has to suffer every day he's in jail.

One thought about O.J. - if you got away with murder, literally, wouldn't you just calm down and try to lay low for the rest of your life?

 

The man has an ego the size of Texas. He is so arrogant that he thought he could do anything and get away with it. After all, he actually DID get away with killing two people. He doesnt know how to lay low.

It's so difficult to see such a good, humble, warm-hearted, caring individual be a fall guy for a crime he didn't commit. Oh wait, I'm thinking of that Tom Selleck movie.

I loved watching Oj's reaction to the guilty verdict. IT was priceless. He can sit and think about Ron Goldman and Nicole as he rots. I still cant understand why someone would take another person's life. Its a cruel cruel world.

OJ really might have been guilty of this crime, however even if he wasn't really guilty. He definitely was screwed in this trial because of what happened last time. Even though the jury was not suppose to let what happened 15 years play into their decision, you know it had to. I mean it just would be impossible not to think about that.
