You have to remember, this was probably a running clock situation.

You guys are barking up the wrong tree here. Holmes lost by 64 because they played bad. Plain and simple.

 

No way do I think Highlands is a better team by 64 points than Holmes, but they were tonight. 7 turnovers, many of which inside their own 30 results in LOTS of points for the other team.

 

Holmes will get better because of this.

 

Very good all around game for Highlands. Forcing turnovers is the name of the game and they did that in a big way tonight.

I don't think Highlands ran it up but their starters were in the game until they scored to make it 53-6...to get to the running clock.

As some have mentioned Holmes kept giving Highlands short fields with turnovers.

Not sure but it was onlly 28-6 at half. They must have scored a bunch in a hurry to start the third quarter.

There is nothling like a 60+ point win vs. a Kentucky opponent after losing to Colerain. That really boosts the confidence. I am sure Coach Lickert, as a former Highlands grad, expected no less. BTW stickymitts, the Birds may be 64 points better than a lot of teams this year. But sometimes you just call off the dogs, on the dogs...
