How can we still be on this subject!!!!!!!!!!! It makes all the sense in the world for all three LOCAL TEAMS to be in one spot for one night. It's Someret's Ray Correll Bowl end of discussion of moving it to somewhere else. PC needs to pull up it's pants and continue playing in this Bowl and quit complaining about it period. This is not a road game. You just have to meet at school and get you stuff on a bus and drive 5 min. Here's my last thought on the matter, PC plays in a higher division of A football. If this game is a problem how is it going to be for them down the road of their schedule? I'd use this venue to prepare for true road games without the hour plus travel. All adds up if you ask me.

From what I was told, Somerset did not just leave and make room for Pulaski. Just wanted Jumper Dad to not look through those rose colored glasses. Both Pulaski and Somerset have a hand in the problems and anyone who thinks different needs to wake up. I for one enjoy the RCB and think all three teams should be in it, it is great for local football at all levels. Also, if a school does pull out, there are plenty of schools that would be glad to fill in.

I have a question. What are the benefits of these multi-team bowl games. I don't know how many there are around that state, but we have never had such a thing in North-Eastern Kentucky, and the only other on I know of is The Pike County Bowl.

Well this Bowl in particular draws thousands because all 3 schools are local and they consider each other rivals. A very social atmosphere also for the adults. The ticket prices can be increased because you pay for 2 games instead of 1.

This bowl is a great opportunity for fans to get to see all 3 local teams in action in one setting. I am for all 3 local teams participating. Somerset has the facilities to host this event and because Ray Correll played at Somerset they should be the ones that host the event.

 

However Somerest makes big money from this event. If PC withdrew from this event it would cost all 3 local schools a bunch of money. That is why Tucker wants PC back in the bowl. PC brings a crowd.

 

But as I stated earlier if PC administration forces Hines to play in the RCB then the Somerset administration should require Cobb to play the other county school every year.

 

Is the Don Marshall bowl switching back and forth between SW and PC or is staying at one school?

 

As soon as the contracts are up, Somerset should play the other county school they didn't play in the RCB in week two.

 

That is my opinion but I am looking through Orange blue and Green(as in money) colored glasses.

It should be up to the coaches as to who they put on their schedule. People should not be bullied into playing in someone's bowl game. Everyone keeps talking about the travel distance and how stupid it would be to drop out of the bowl, isn't it the same distance to Pulaski and Southwestern's field. This is not being pushed by the fans and or boosters and don't be suprised if many of them stay home next year to prove their point. Both county schools have been playing in the Correll Bowl, why can't they play the county schools at their place?

What does homefield advantage prove for Pulaski and/or Southwestern? Both have beaten Somerset at Somerset, not too mention Somerset is size wise 2A playing 4A Southwestern and 5A Pulaski County.

 

If the fans stayed home, then they would be doing their school and kids an injustice, not Somerset. That is lousy and very childish if you were an adult.
