Will Highlands ever get a new stadium?

I am sure that there are already plans for the space tenfold but, how about a section of seats behind the HHS bench when they tear down the girls' gym? BTW, I love the new luxury suites in the library. How much do those go for?

For my 2 cents, it is the best atmosphere for high school football in this state, anyways. I'd hope they'd never make any major changes to the current facility.

Wow, has everybody noticed that it is only one person so far that wants a new stadium. I am with the 99.99% of players, former players and even other teams players and fans that want it to stay as it is. The biggest gripe should be the restrooms. An absolute embarrassment. I know they are scheduled to be renovated in the next phase but cmon. Can't the custodial staff maybe clean it everyday. Fix the towel dispensers, put up doors on the toilets instead of shower curtains from two years ago. Something! That's my gripe. We still have a better atmosphere than anyone in NKY and maybe even the state. IMO! and many more!

Who is the next super rich dad with a kid on the team to pay for it??

And how long has Highlands Football been around. It has been successfull in the past and it will be successful in the future. I know where your going with your post but let me tell you that there isn't one person bigger than the program my friend. It helps having the resources we have, but at the end of the day it is still Highlands Football. Nice try!!!!!

Why all the sensitivity? Collinsworth was able to get with a group to spot the Ft. Thomas school dist. $140,000 for the field (per the Enquirer). He also assisted in additional fund raising, and when you have a name that big it helps. In addition, Ruby's name was also attached, though I have no idea what his contribution was. '84 was just making a joke. I don't think anyone cares how Highlands gets it's funds as long as its done the right way, and it's

been done the perfect way so far.

Just a funny story I wanted to share. For some of you old timers Russell Red Devils and Fort Thomas use to play a few games back in the 70's. My family and I stopped at a gas station to get directions to the stadium. I remember my dad asking "Which way to the stadium?" and the old man looked at him and said "sir...just listen for the cannon boom and head that direction". haha It was a good game....I was young...dont know who won...I was in the top of the stands and the cold wind was cutting right thru me. All I wanted to do is go home. haha

One of our star player's Grandfather had a good idea. Start building at the bottom of Death Valley a parking garage until level with the top of the hill and have the stadium level with the lot. Solves 2 problems: stadium and parking!

I think that is a great idea! You are even more land locked than we are here at Beechwood and parking is always difficult at big events.

However, your gym (like ours) would be my first priority.

Add me to the list of people that don't want the stadium moved to Death Valley. I love our arrangement and atmosphere. If money is no object (and it is) and the fan base supported it, I wouldn't mind the bleachers extended around the South and North endzones to create more of a bowl effect (or at least one of them, with a new locker room and weight room built around the other). But honestly, I don't think the fan base is there (a huge dissappointment to me by the way) and I know the money is not there currently. We have way too many pressing and higher priorities in our school system.

What in the world could be more pressing or a higher priority than football?:D
