If you're going on this summer's play, Jackson led his team to a 3rd place finish in Orlando in the AAU national tournament. Again, I have nothing but respect for Ethan and any coach would love to have him. But if you ask any college coach who could choose between the 2 and I doubt that many would take Ethan over Chad. And once you see him more (which you admittedly haven't) I think Chad will change your thoughts.

 

I also think that for many, the whole transfer issue with Chad and Dakotah will undoubtedly slant some opinions. I mean we had the 3rd player selected in this years NBA draft hacked on in this forum and this board. And it was for no other reason than his school/transfer issues. (unless we have the dumbest basketball evaluators that ever graced a message board here) And I'll finish with this, I have more than likely watched more games with OJ Mayo and with Chad Jackson than anyone who's responded on this thread to date. And I can say with confidence that at the same age, OJ couldn't go to the basket like Chad. (Of course every single other skill OJ had was far superior)

That is a great accomplishment, but what many don't realize is that most of the best 2010 players played up a year in AAU comp this summer. Take the Pressey kid that played for BABC. He is a junior in high school this year but played up all summer.He was one of the best point gaurds I saw play this summer and probably a D1 impact player. Ethan went head to head with him and his team narrowly lost if it had not been for a tough call at the end of the game when he stole the ball from Pressey with time expiring going the length of the floor for a wide open layup.. Faulkner was called for a touch foul.

 

You have your opinion and I have mine, but you probably have much greater basketball knowledge than I do.

 

One thing is for sure, Jackson sure makes Euton a much better player to the point that Billy G has offered him a scholarship.

 

Not my opinion but many others I have talked to think Euton will have an extremely difficult time competing with the superior athletes in the SEC. So on that point I will give Jackson a big :thumb: as he has been a huge part of getting Euton a surprisingly early offer from UK.

Good question , I have wondered about that also. Some players look good playing against their age group, because they are more mature for their age in sports and maybe a little bigger. But as others grow they do not always keep up. Just my thoughts on the subject.:confused:

Jackson, Faulkner and Whitaker all are oustanding. I also like the kid from LCC. Is it Blair? He's a little small but outstanding at the point.

Especially someone that just moved into the backyard of the campus he will be attending in a few years. Gosh especially after all the hoopla that has been surrounding his eligibility. That would be a terrible thing, and probably an appeal would be made on the withdrawl of the scholarship with UK.:eek:

Jamel Riley shoud do a good job running the show for Holmes next year. Heard he played pretty well at UK's elite camp.

I totally agree, he did nothing but good things when he got in the games last year.

I just think that Jackson is a BETTER BASKETBALL PLAYER. Thats what I base my top 5 list on.

Jackson has not made the state tourney yet from the 16th, now I do understand that he now plays for the KY Allstars, aka Scott County, but that does not mean he has done what Ethan has over the years, example) back to back 16th region tourney MVP trophys. Jackson is a very good player, but does not deserve to have his name mentioned in this discussion.:ylsuper:

And if Scott Co. wins the state tournament, Jackson has great stats, then what will be the excuse that he doesn't deserve it? He had too many good players around him then? He couldn't do it for Rose Hill? Please...

Euton is already 6'8", so 99% won't every catch up no matter their age (height-wise). He is also a pure shooter. He's not very athletic, but neither was Larry Bird -- a tall, not very athletic pure shooter with the heart of a lion.

 

I think that Euton's future will be decided by his 'heart'. He has the other tools.
