IMO, this game is going to show us Ashland fans how the team is going to match up with their district teams. If Ashland loses then we are still undefeated in the district....

Its hard for me to agree with you but this one I will. I noticed that at the Mason scrimmage he was up in the stands eating. Then at half time I commented to someone that he wasnt even with the team he was on the sideline talking to the trainers!!!!!

I'm not sure why you guys are worried.......we're underdogs to Open next week.:banana:

 

Raceland had better just show up with the mindset that this game is going to be the toughest game of their lives, because I believe it will be. Ashland is dangerous, they have the ability to score on big plays and they have a strong defense who is just waiting for a little pass over the middle.

 

Wake up Raceland, the Tomcats are mad as hell and are going to dig deep for this game.

 

Boyles, Denton, Carver, Logan, Selvage, Tolliver: do you really want to start your senior season 0-1. Because, that is what is going to happen if you all do not step up and lead this team. I'm calling you all out, it is on your shoulders, lead or be lead.

:thumb: Great post Ram, Ashland may have looked past Raceland in some of the previous years but I can promise they are not this season. I have had a lot of fun going back and forth with Graybeard and Painter's post on this one and that is all in good fun. I have ton of respect for those guys and the Ashland program, tradition and school system. That is one thing that seperates this rivalry from some others, there is imo a respect for one another out of both schools, teams and fans.

 

I have to say though that I was serious in my concerns on this game. Yes, Raceland should have a very good football team. That right now means nothing and Rams, you haven't won a game yet and I believe that you have lost two of the last three games you have played including a district title game!

 

I do believe that Raceland may be able to compete with Ashland in this one.

However, should they go into it not focused and thinking all they have to do is show up to win, expecting Ashland to lay down for them they will be blown out of the stadium by the Tomcats. That you can count on.

I personally look for some suprises out of Ashland in this one. Maybe some things that people are haven't been used to seeing a lot of out of the Tomcats in the past .

 

So, that is my sermon from the bottom , may both teams remain injury free and .....GO Rams!!!
