Does anyone know what the chance of rain for Friday nite might be? I would hate to see it rain, Ashland has a bad habbit of not playing under the lights if it's raining. What happens if it rains next year if it rains, word has it they may have turf by then?::scared:

They are calling for a slight possibility of scattered showers. Looking at the radar there is no storm system that will hit us tonight or this weekend. If a shower does pop up, it should be very quick.

Painter led the field crew again yesterday and last night in getting the field looking good. The wet weather got us a little behind, but everything should look good by game time. Here is a composite picture from 2005 – the field will look very much like this tonight.

 

Poor old Graybeard can hardly walk this morning – but I’d like to thank all the guys that came out to help. We had some new guys and they are especially appreciated.

 

The field will look good, the atmosphere will be great, the tailgating will begin early and it should be a great high school football game. I know both teams will play hard, may the best team win – and all players remain injury free.

The field looks fantastic, as usual. Hats off to all who worked their tails off to make it happen. Volunteers are the unsung heroes of high school athletics.

Well, The boys are getting ready for the drive to see the tomcats tonight. I first hope both teams come out injury free. Then for a ram victory. By the way Ashland's Field looks great. Graybeard you all did a great job. I just love this opening game with Ashland. Now here is my thoughts about the game. Raceland by 14. And Ashland wins the rest of their games after tonight. Good luck.

Still no predictions from me, but I simply hope that both teams play the game of their lives...no injuries...and the best team wins.
