oldrambler
Thoughts and prayers from the Ramblers here in Raceland for this young man and his family and friends. Some of the older Raceland fans know all too well about this. Raceland had a young man in the late 70's suffer a broken neck, thankfully he came out of it o.k. and was able to lead a productive life. Again, may God Bless this young man and his family. Please keep us posted.

Jim Schue
Got an update today, and it's a good one: Demarco was released from the hospital yesterday, and was back in school this morning. He is able to walk and has no other motor problems. He will be in a neck brace for a while, and still has some swelling on his vertebrae. He'll be going in for more examinations in a few weeks. It's unlikely he'll be able to play any sports again because of the risk of future injury, but the important thing is he's not wheelchair-bound, or worse. God speed on your recovery, Demarco. We're pulling for you.
JohnnyDrama
It's a wonder he wasn't hurt worse. Thanks for the good news, Jim!
