But he was going to be moved no matter what. I don't know if he told (the media) but he made it was no secret to us that he was looking for $100 to $120 million contract. I don't think this franchise is going to give out that kind of contract." Arroyo said he is not, however, worried about the direction of the club. "As long as they keep the pitching staff in tact, I think we'll be OK because I think Dusty (Baker) has enough pull to get them to go out and sign some hitters. If we had a real young manager, I'd be worried." It will be interesting to see what he gets via free agency. Let me say this, if he is set on getting that kind of money, then the Reds made the right move.

Get back to me about him in 2 years when everyone is complaining about his contract. If you want to put him in the same category as Crawfor, Vlad, CC, or Sheets go right ahead. How has Cordero helped them out by the way?

How has Cordero helped them out by the way? He has improved the bullpen, so yes, he has helped the team. I didn't like spending that much on him at the time, and still don't but it shows that The ownership is willing to spend money in the Free Agent market to become a better team.
