July 7, 200818 yr No, I can't think of too many teams that have players that put up the numbers that Dunn too. I should have said players that get on base less than Dunn and strike out just as much. That would be Chris Young, , J. Upton and Mark Reynolds. Then you would think Dunn would be easy to move??
July 7, 200818 yr Then you would think Dunn would be easy to move?? I've heard they can't find anyone that wants him...
July 7, 200818 yr If you don't think that Hariston's stock has risen over the past three months, then you're kidding yourself. How could it not have gone up? Hairston was a late-signee, non-roster invitee to spring training. Now he's just a veteran utility guy that's had a good 100-plus at-bats. No one is going to give up anything of real value for Hairston.
July 7, 200818 yr Then you would think Dunn would be easy to move?? How many of the players I mentioned above are making $15 million, are in the last year of their contract, and have a list of only 10 teams they can be traded to?

July 7, 200818 yr His stock has definitely risen but not enough to get top prospects. I never said top prospects. I said a marginal prospect.
July 7, 200818 yr How many of the players I mentioned above are making $15 million, are in the last year of their contract, and have a list of only 10 teams they can be traded to? I thought he could be traded to any of the 30 teams as long as he gave his okay, and that there were only 10 teams he could be traded to without his approval...
July 7, 200818 yr I never said top prospects. I said a marginal prospect. They could get a marginal prospect at best.
July 7, 200818 yr Like I said, marginal prospect.Which amounts to nothing of real value ... Less than 90 minutes ago, you thought Arizona would give up legitimate prospects for him. Now you're down to a marginal prospect.
July 7, 200818 yr How many of the players I mentioned above are making $15 million, are in the last year of their contract, and have a list of only 10 teams they can be traded to? Gonna go with none. Imagine that:thumb:
July 7, 200818 yr I thought he could be traded to any of the 30 teams as long as he gave his okay, and that there were only 10 teams he could be traded to without his approval... That is true, but he obviously has a list of ten teams for a reason.
July 7, 200818 yr Which amounts to nothing of real value ... It all depends on whether the prospect works out or not. Pete Rose was a marginal prospect at one time, as was Mike Piazza.
July 7, 200818 yr That is true, but he obviously has a list of ten teams for a reason. True, but it would be hard to think he'd turn down a deal to say Tampa Bay right now, and I doubt they're one of his 10 teams...
July 7, 200818 yr True, but it would be hard to think he'd turn down a deal to say Tampa Bay right now, and I doubt they're one of his 10 teams... I would guess that he would go anywhere who brought a long term high salary contract to the table.
