Maybe I was just lucky, but I honestly never saw a single person in my section last season smoking. As a non-smoker, I have the nose of a bloodhound when it comes to cigarette smoke.
July 1, 200818 yr I could have sworn that about 5 years ago I went to a UK football game and smoking was banned. I remember that a woman that was sitting in front of me was smoking and a security guy came over and told her that it was Stadium regulations that she was aloud to smoke in the facility.

July 1, 200818 yr This will tick off a lot of people. UK football games will be smoke free, in accordance with University policy. It won't tick me off. I'm all for it. Great move by the folks in charge.
July 1, 200818 yr Will they provide a smoking area where people can go at halftime? If so, I doubt anyone could object much. I've always thought it was a smoke free facility anyway. I quit ten months ago but I still think smokers are discriminated against. Most are very easy to compromise with and will stand out in the rain or cold if only such a place is designated.
July 1, 200818 yr You could previously smoke in the concourse areas but not in the stadium seats- or so the info packet that came with my tickets from last season tells me. I am all for it. Nothing worse than having to go to the bathroom or to get a drink and coming back smelling like a Marlboro.
July 1, 200818 yr Were you allowed to smoke in your seats at Commonwealth? I can't recall seeing anyone smoking inside the stadium.

July 1, 200818 yr I go frequently but never really recall people smoking in my section, now drinking that is another story lol.
July 2, 200818 yr Author Just to be clear....smoking IN seating area has been banned. This move makes the entire stadium smoke free...EVERYWHERE.
