Obnoxious fans, you know who you are

*The Bandwagon Driver -- He's the most obvious but must be mentioned. You've supported your team through years of disappointment (Hello, Magic Nation) and suddenly this guy shows up acting as if he's been around forever. And he'll disappear just as quickly when things go bad again. (Note: It's OK to be a bandwagon guy, but just admit it.)

*The Contrarian -- The exact opposite of bandwagon guy. He delights in ripping the home team, especially in sports bars. If the team is popular, he automatically hates it. And he wonders why he hasn't had a date in 12 years.

*The Excuse Maker -- He has never seen a game when the other team simply outplayed his team. Not once. The refs were crooked and/or blind. His team was flat. His coach was a moron. The sun was in their eyes.

Got any to add to the list? Let's hear it...

The runner....Rockmom! :laugh::laugh::laugh:

"The Camera Prostitute"...this one always cracks me up. It never ceases to amaze what people will do to get on tv or they just so happen to get on and they become a complete idiot!

I think Ohio State football fans should get their own category.

*THE DELUSIONISTS* This fan thinks his team can do wrong, justifies cheating, and thinks Bobby Hoying was a sure fire Pro Football Hall of Famer if he had been "used right." Also Maurice Clarrett was framed.

I would say you could lump Kentucky, Indiana, Duke, and Louisville basketball fan on that list as well.

^ This sounds like a lot of Laker fans :sssh:

"The behind homeplate, cell phone talking, waiving, idiot". I wish they would make it so the fans behind the plate from dugout to dugout were out of focus.

I'm thinking Braves, Bengals, and UK in that order.

"The Steal-The-Foul-Ball Idiot"--The one who will trample anyone (including a child) to get a souvenir from the game.

One of my favorites is "Loud, Probably Drunk Guy Sitting Too Close To The Broadcast Booth."

Every word this guy says -- and he never stops talking -- is picked up by the TV and radio announcers. It's usually at best 'R' rated, and you get the feeling he spent all day making up creative (to him) lines to razz opposing batters when they step into the box. He never misses the chance to tell the opposing team's best hitter that he can't hit a lick.

"Excuse maker" is one of if not my biggest pet peeve/gripe. I hate hearing these whiners go on.

"Camera prostitue" is another that gets me while watching these games on t.v., It's almost like some of these idiots actually think that they are amusing or auditioning for some kind of new reality show, which I wouldn't doubt that someone will make one of these sometime:rolleyes::lol:.

These along with when I am at a game ( pro or college) I almost always am seated next to or within way too close of a distance to one, usually more than one extremely loud and extremely drunk "experts" that have no trouble in telling every one just what they think of the team, coach. manager`, concession guy, usher or anyone else for that matter. They may be telling a lot but one thing that they leave no doubt about I that they are pathetic drunks that I guess are making themselves feel important. Usually wannabe's and losers that have no idea of anything about the game or how it is played, have never been on the inside of a locker room or dougout.etc.. in their lfe but can go down the local bar and let everyone know "what they would have done".

I'll have to admit UK basketball and Ohio State fans has far to many excuse maker fans. Louisville basketball is IMO has a lot of contrarian fans, it seems like Uof L hates UK more than they like Louisville basketball. The Atlanta Bravesand any Boston pro team are polluted with bandwagon driver fans.

Never does he ever stop talking. We have one at our football games and he drives me crazy. It got to the point that we told him that all the seats were saved, just so he would go somewhere else and worry someone. He knew it all. He had seen it all. He knew the plays that were going to be called before the coach knew them. He could tell you everything about every player on the field, even the visiting teams!!!

The mother who just knows that her kid is the best and spends every hour at every game telling you all about him. The sad thing is all the kid ever did was wander the sidelines.

I have a couple:

"The Lump"- This is the fan who shoes no life during a game despite what may happening on the field/court. They alwasy sit down, they scowl at fans who scream for their eam, and typically cross their arms. These fans are typically found in the lower arena at Rupp Arena.

"The Firecracker"- Mortal enemy and polar opposite of the lump, but nonetheless just as annoying. This is the fan that refuses to sit at any point, who takes every single play and/or foul/penalty too far. Whereas "the Lump" complains about people being too loud, they will vocally chastize anyone who isn't as hyped as they are.

"The Socialite"- They could care less who wins as long as their physical appearance looks good and everyone in the stadium knows they are there. For women, these are the women who put the cut little bows with team colors to match their jerseys, that match their pants, that match their socks, that match their bracelets, that match their shoes, that match their eye liner, that match the blanket they are sitting on. They have no clue who just scored or how important 3rd and long is, but they do know a penalty should be called on so and so's wife for illegal use of wearing white after Labor Day.

Men are just as bad... these are the guys who have spent way too much money on the new Under Armour shirt and matching cap. The guys who match their tennis shoes to their team color shirt and wish the coaching staff would call and let them know what outfit they were wearing that night so they could match. These are the guys that you get stuck behind with both hands loaded with food and drinks, just because it takes them 30 minutes to get up the steps as they pick someone they know out of each row to stop and shoot the breeze with and critique the coach.

Speaking of critiquing the coach, "The Playmaker". This is the fan who "knows" every play that is about to be ran, and if it isn't ran and the consequence is an adverse outcome, 'the Coach was stupid and trying to lose the game", but when the play they guess results in a positive outcome suddenly "Now he/she is starting to coach the way they need to!"

I have dated a couple of these...

I think we all have, they're typically well kept girls.

As for myself, I may be a bit of a "Playmaker" from time to time, in that I'll call out plays, but usually don't criticize much either way.
