June 4, 200818 yr I talked to my parents a little bit ago. The hammock was picked up off the deck, which is ground level, but has a roof, and thrown over the railing and landed on a glass table that it shattered. It probably traveled about 25 feet. The hot tub cover, which has over 200 pounds of sand bags and pavers on it was thrown off. The gutter is dented near where the hot tub sits, and one of the pavers that holds the hot tub down was found near the broken table and hammock. The paver was either thrown over the deck but under the roof, or completely over the roof to land where it did as the deck sits ground level, so there's no way it went under it. The hay/tall grass in their side yard has a path through it where it is twisted. I asked my sister to take a picture of it as I didn't want to take the 30+ minute drive out there, so hopefully I'll have a pic to post.

I didn't recognize any of the city or county names but they are talking about Dunlapsville, Fairfield, Billingsville, etc. Anyone know anyone there or anything about this one. They are really sounding urgent. GET TO A SAFE PLACE.

There are several reports of funnel clouds and at least one radar-indicated tornado. These storms don't threaten NKY yet, but stay alert because (as we know from experience) the line could easily drop our way. The tornado watch for Boone, Campbell and Kenton Counties has been re-issued until 3 A.M. From what I'm hearing from the weather guy, storms that develop after 8 p.m., like these have, can be particularly dangerous. Not trying to scare anyone needlessly; but you need tuned to the weather reports tonight.

June 4, 200818 yr Lexington was hit hard yesterday! I sat in the dark for over 4 hours! Looks like a buzz saw went through my area.
