While Fogg has shown he can win 8-12 games, I wouldn't mind rolling the dice on a young lefty that's throwing really well at AAA... Ok, I could see that. But Dusty has not given Fogg a fair shake. I hope Moloney comes and and does great, but I think Fogg is good for 6-9 this year. We shall see. There's no way Dusty gives Fogg another shot.

June 1, 200818 yr I loved listening to Leo Mazzone today during the game. The guy is one of the greatest pitching coaches of all time, and I considered it a privelage to listen to his insight. Even if it was a little redundant.

Even if it was a little redundant. He made me laugh, and even my wife was laughing, listening to him laugh. Even he said he wants to Coach again. I believe that's where he needs, and will be next year.
June 1, 200818 yr Author Majewski has been called up. No word yet on who he is going to replace... I really thought this would happen. He's been pitching lights out in Louisville. I hope he can continue it at the major league level, and stick this time. I wouldn't be surprised if Fogg is DFA'd, and then the Reds make another move Thursday when they need the 5th starter spot again.

The second time he struggled it was because he still wasn't fully healthy yet and we need to give him time. The third time he struggled he had finally gotten fully healthy and was getting guys out at Louisville, BUT just couldn't get the job done at the Major League level. Now we are supposed to believe he has gotten better than the third time? The Reds will be sending him back down within a few weeks. Oh well, hopefully their offense can make up for the mistakes he is bound to make.

I understand the fallout from the extra inning debacle, not to mention all the short outings the starters have given since that mess. They need help, but I would rather see someone that we haven't seen or give someone else a shot. You never know, they might stick and the Reds can consider getting rid of a couple pieces of dead weight in the pen.
