Back to back doubles by Griff and Phillips...3-0 Good guys

Getting up early on the Hudson is what the Reds need. Force him to make a lot of pitches and get in to the Braves bullpen.

Bruce showing why Patterson started the first two months of the season, Jay just wasn't ready yet.

How much effect did that dasdardly experiment have on the success of the ballclub?

Nope the ones listed above are the only Reds to ever win Rookie of the year.

On a side note, The Reds are currently second all time in most rookies of the year with 7. Dodgers are first with 16.

No his rookie year he only appeared in 41 games and hit .283 with 3 HRs 19 RBIs and 8 SB. Todd Worrell won it that year.

It's easy to second guess the decision now, but Bruce didn't exactly have a great spring. I wouldn't have wanted him to come into the season and struggle from the beginning. Granted, they should have called him up earlier.

Would the Reds be better positioned in the standings had Bruce been a starting outfielder from day one?

Looks like the Reds could very well be 5-10 games over .500.

As it stands now, Cincinnati is right around 5 games out of the Wild Card.

12-20 on May 4th

15-9 since that point
