June 1, 200818 yr did Barry Larkin not win a Rookie of the Year award? Nope the ones listed above are the only Reds to ever win Rookie of the year. On a side note, The Reds are currently second all time in most rookies of the year with 7. Dodgers are first with 16.

I wouldn't have wanted him to come into the season and struggle from the beginning. Granted, they should have called him up earlier.
