Track the Reds (Week 9)

Featured Replies

So is Jay Bruce a keeper?

Naw, the Reds will probably send him back down to the minors or trade him to the Nationals. :D

Not sure he's deserving of that claim quite yet .

He still has time though.

Great wins for the Reds...closing in on .500

Well, maybe we can keep him for at least a season or two :thumb:

Braves have now dropped 20 straight one run games away from home, don't think it can get much worse if you go.

We can still hope that it will................:D

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Reds make a move between now and tomorrow's game. The bullpen is already pretty taxed with back to back extra inning games, and Fogg's short outing today. With Cueto going tomorrow, the Reds may need a fresh arm out of the bullpen. With the way Majewski has been pitching I wouldn't be surpised to see him get called up, but the question is who would you send down?

I don't think Majewski is the answer because he can typically only give you one inning...

He's gone two innings several times this year in Louisville, but I agree that they may need a long man .

Give it up...Fogg sucks, plain and simple. His time has came, and gone. Weathers cannot help this Team anymore either.

It was October that he was pitching for the team that won the NL.

Was it? Really? So a guy should be really sharp after not pitching much for a month? Some people just don't see it. He's better than Belisle and he should get the ball on the 5th starters turn. Is he good? NO. Is he an adequate 5th starter in the NL? Yes

I hope they do. I know its early, but I think they can make a run. W/ the way the Cubs are winning at home they have to quit giving games away.

I get where you are coming from, but he won ONE game in the first two and a half months. He gave the Rockies nothing more than Belisle gave the Reds at this point. I can see the argument for Fogg as the #5, but I'd rather give Moloney a shot and see how it goes at this point...

I could possibly live w/ that. Fogg was thrown to the wolves this week by Dusty, nothing more nothing less. I feel good if he gets the ball in the 5 spot. Moloney is an unknown. I really think they get back in this race in the next 6 weeks. I'm not sure I trust Moloney.

If the basis of your argument is the 5 spot.......... ;)

The first 4 are set.

Right. And at the 5 you just need someone that can eat some innings and keep you in games. While Fogg has shown he can win 8-12 games, I wouldn't mind rolling the dice on a young lefty that's throwing really well at AAA...
