June 1, 200818 yr I can remember back in the Braves hey day when the Reds simply couldn't beat the Braves. There was such a wide gap between the two teams. That gap has certainly narrowed.
June 1, 200818 yr I can remember back in the Braves hey day when the Reds simply couldn't beat the Braves. There was such a wide gap between the two teams. That gap has certainly narrowed. The really only bright spot for the Braves this year is Chipper hiting over .400.
June 1, 200818 yr Overall, are the Reds a better team than the Braves? I think they are fairly close. If Jay Bruce continues to play well the Braves have added another big hitter to their lineup. The Braves have a good lineup with Chipper, Teixeira, Francouer, Kelly Johnson, Escobar and Kotsay. They're pitching looked great to start the season with Smoltz, Hudson, Glavine, and Hampton, but Hampton, Smoltz and Glavine have all spent time on the DL. The Braves have a lot of injuries right now bothering them...
June 1, 200818 yr The really only bright spot for the Braves this year is Chipper hiting over .400. The Braves are great at home, that's a bright spot. They're 2 games over .500 at this point and only a couple of games out of first place. They're not a terrible team when healthy.
June 1, 200818 yr Bruce is on fire! Two straight days that he has gone yard and this time it's off one of the better pitchers in the league. This kid can hit.
