And Rocky!

YEP!

Olsen Twins, Rocky, best rock albums, the only thing missing is a reference to Jesus Christ.

If you guys look at his picture REALLY closely, to the right you will see a schedule that lists "nap times" :thumb:

I would like to know what the Indiana Elite will get in punishment over having Avery play with them in the King James?

Unless there is something new this year, Under NCAA rules, AAU teams can only have players on them from players from the state that the AAU club is located, and adjoining states. This rule is in place during tourneys that are NCAA certified, and the King James had that certification, which allows college coaches to attend.

Avery attends Ascension Lutheran School in Thousand Oaks, which is just north of LA, and was looking at a private high school in Indiana. The coach at that school introduced Avery and his family to the Indiana Elite staff, and they invited him to play with them in the King James.

No violation on UK, but a defiantly one on the Indiana Elite.

My 7-year-old son has committed to the University of Kentucky today. He said he chose UK over Duke because "only sissies go to Duke". He led his pee wee basketball team in scoring, rebounding, assists, and Little Debbie snack cakes ate after each game. He was also first in the hand shake line more than any other player on his team. He hasn't qualified academically but he did make a 100 on his spelling test Wednesday and made a 95 on his units test. "I like Kentucky because the big furry cat on TV that goes to the game looks cool. Plus, my grandpa says Kentucky is where the real good players go," my son said. Incredibly, no word has been received from the UK coaches concerning their latest verbal.

I fell on the floor rolling Scribe!:laugh::laugh::laugh:

This whole deal is a joke. Hope nothing happens to this kid between now and fours years. Would hate to see his Dad's dreams shattered!

I bet this Dad is already seeking an agent and endorsement deals for his kid!:lol::lol::lol:

What about the Ohio Basketball Club. It is my understanding they have players from Kentucky, W Va, and Ohio. It seems to me like this is completely legal. You may have misinterpreted something.

 It's a travesty, I say!

Seriously, very, VERY clever and funny, Scribe! :thumb::lol:

All those states are ajoining/boarder states to the state that the team is based.

Try re-reading SG's post.

I don't think that his age at this point is that big of deal if BCG thinks that he can play. Just look at Amobi Okoye, dude's only 20 and has finished his rookie season in the NFL. If he can play NCAA football at 15, then surely this kid can be good enough to give a verbal commitment at the same age.

Slight difference in a guy that was a physical and mental giant who was able to graduate HS by 15 and a kid that hasn't got to HS at the same age...

It's official

Kentucky has their first commitment from the Class of 2018.

He's already 6'4". Unless he is supposed to be a 4 or 5 that's tall enough to play. As far as being a mental giant, surely as a UC fan during the Huggins era, you know that's one requirement that is not required for NCAA basketball.

I'm not saying this kid will be a star or have the career of Okoye, but if a kid that age can play D1 football and excell, I don't think it is worthy of criticising BCG for thinking that he can project a kid of that age to be worthy of a scholarship in 5 years.

You made the silly comparison, not me. This kid is at least one year behind, not four years ahead...

That was funny... "whats that word and coach Gill-a pie" priceless!
