gametime Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 The Bengals announced Monday that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell informed the club middle linebacker Odell Thurman has been reinstated after a two-year exile for violating the league's substance abuse policy, "Odell has met the NFL's conditions for reinstatement and has been added to our offseason roster," said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis in a press release. "It is now up to Odell to continue to meet all NFL guidelines, and to maintain a standard of personal responsibility that will allow him the chance to compete for a spot on our team." http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=6734
Nkysportsblog Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Could be a huge help if he can make it back to 2005 form.
Baseballguy Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Finally some decent news. Hope he has learned his lesson(s), and still can perform on the field.
Da champ Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Heard the new defensive coordinator has told him that if the 85 does make it back on the practice field. His order is to destroy him!!! :fire:

DragonFire Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 IMO it was a crime he wasn't reinstated last year. He did everything that was asked of him and they extended it anyway.
The Scribe Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Tick....tick....tick...Tick....tick....tick...
HammerTime Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Do we give him the benefit of the doubt and trust that he will be here all season? He has been pretty good for what almost 2 years now. He might be out of money and need to play. I guess we will see.
nkuclubbaseball19 Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 This is a great announcement for the Bengals. After having to play last year with a depleted linebacking core they get to add someone who was a great talent when he played to a group that showed something last year.
NEWCATH84 Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 If this guy keeps his butt in line he could be a pro bowl player. Look at his numbers in his rookie year. I hope he still has it and keeps getting better!! WHO DEY
saint4 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 This is great news out of Cincy. The first good personel news in a long long long while.
