February 15, 200818 yr You know you're from NoKy when despite the fact that Cincinnatians look down their noses at you, you don't find it the least bit ironic when you look down your nose at the rest of Kentucky. If you had spent anytime around Lake Cumberland in the Summer you would know how true this is. :thumb:
February 15, 200818 yr Good stuff.:thumb: Have you got, or seen, any for Eastern Kentucky? That should be some funny material, too. I have seen one somewhere talking about Booneville; but I can't remember where I saw it.
February 15, 200818 yr That's another NKY thing. In SEKY, working off buttermilk requires a brisk 45 minute walk and 40 situps. Good one. :thumb:
February 15, 200818 yr Someone needs to do this for SE Kentucky. I think Jeff Foxworthy has us pretty well covered.
February 15, 200818 yr You know you are talking about NKY when you know what DEVOU is all about! I can share many memories about that! Anyone else?
February 15, 200818 yr ....when Don Weber is more familiar to you than the weekend sportscasters on the Cincinnati stations.
February 15, 200818 yr I'm not from either area, but am from NKY and am proud of it, as I would be if I was from Dayton or Ludlow.
February 15, 200818 yr If you had spent anytime around Lake Cumberland in the Summer you would know how true this is. :thumb: And if you have lived in NKY your entire life, you would know how UNTRUE that is. :thumb:
February 15, 200818 yr I'm not from either area, but am from NKY and am proud of it, as I would be if I was from Dayton or Ludlow. I am from Ludlow and am very proud of it, as I know the Dayton people are as well. I have many friends from Dayton and thoroughly enjoy spending time there.
February 15, 200818 yr Not that anybody here does. And they don't. Really now? I wouldn't find any examples of this behavior in ... say ... the football forum?
February 15, 200818 yr And if you have lived in NKY your entire life, you would know how UNTRUE that is. :thumb: I've seen all parts of it. I grew up in Warsaw, which is technically Northern Kentucky, but the folks in Boone/Kenton/Campbell think driving to Gallatin County is on par with snaking up US 421 to Hyden. And I lived in Covington for several years and was around it daily. Not everybody, but a lot of people. Enough to notice it. That said, I enjoyed my time living in Covington as much as any point in my life.
February 15, 200818 yr You know you're from NoKy when despite the fact that Cincinnatians look down their noses at you, you don't find it the least bit ironic when you look down your nose at the rest of Kentucky. :sssh: Beautiful!
December 1, 200817 yr Bump Bump. I just found this, and all I could say reading this is wow. We are our own here in NKY.
December 1, 200817 yr 75, great stuff. I had to laugh and realize how right you were on almost all of the things you posted.
December 1, 200817 yr They sell Ale 8 at Krogers in Bellevue and Ameristop. We know where he is from .
