What I am saying that when the vote on the seperation was presented to the delegates state wide it passed by a overwhelming majority. I also believe that if it were voted on again, it would pass by even a bigger margin by the delegates from each respective school representive.

It appears that the percentages in this BGP poll are just about the opposite of how the delegates voted.

And the percentages have remained fairly consistent over the 5 days that the poll has been in existence .

So from this comment and the results of the poll, can we assume that the delegates did not vote the way that the people desired?

It probably reflects a major flaw with the structure of KHSAA. It is an orginization that is created by the state legislator with the intent of managing and promoting HS athletics. So in the end the KHSAA belongs (or should belong) to the people of Kentucky. However, it clearly is run as a 'coaches association' since it seems only coaches and ADs make up the voting function of KHSAA. 'The people' are not part of KHSAA organization and do not have a voice.

As this poll appears to show - ordinary parents and ordinary students and the interested public in general are not in favor of some positions championed by a majority of coaches and ADs. What is good for coaches and ADs is not necessarily good for the students and the people of Kentucky. The rebuke of Prop 20 and then of Prop 2 when they reached the overseers clearly shows that.

So from this comment and the results of the poll, can we assume that the delegates did not vote the way that the people desired?

What this poll reflects is those that pay a fee to talk on a website. Believe me most in our region don't.

Well, I guess it's a good thing that there's more to KY than your region.

It sounds like what you are saying is that it is still the way it was was in times past when only the wealthy land owners could vote .:fire:

Since there is a fee to join BGP and we all know that private supporters are rich people, maybe that explains the vote results.:sssh:;):D:lol:

If a seperation ever does occur, Trinity and St.Xavier will become even stronger. Be carefull what you wish for:fire:

Since T and X would be in a separate division than the public schools, what would it matter to the public schools how good they are? Except for the Louisville publics and the surrounding areas that they would draw from.

I would guess for the same exact reason it matters now. Apparently, we are getting all the good athletes. Do you think that would change anything whatsoever?

Except for the publics in Jefferson County and the surrounding areas, what would that matter to the rest of the public school state?

More than forty years later I still recall one thing that was taught to me in the public school in forth grade.

There is "a rat" in separate.

That, btw, is a spelling comment, not a social one.
