January 23, 200818 yr This might not matter this year but it just shows you what this team is capable of and gives you a lot to look forward to next year. :thumb::thumb: I agree 100% I think this game is more for the next few years, than this year. I still don't see them making the tourny (unless they make a great run in the conf tourny) but this is a huge win.
January 23, 200818 yr ^ Hold on, reality check...they lost to San Diego and Gardner Webb as well....Uk CAN play at home, not on the road, just yet. That's a great point, Kentucky has yet to win a road game this year. Nice win, but this team has 500 written all over them. So they might go to the tournament, but it will be the NIT if anything. Which actually would be a success considering how badly this season started.

January 23, 200818 yr There is no doubt that UK has improved (or has Billy just stopped running them on gamedays?). It is sad that UK could not have played this way when there was a serious chance to make the NCAA's. It will take a phenomenal effort from here (like say winning 11 of the next 12) for them to have any shot. But this was great to see. Happy to see that Chris Lofton's last trip to Rupp Arena in college ended just like his last one in high school - in a loss to the team I love. Well isn't that just nice.. Sorry, it really is. There wasn't a single second where Chris Lofton played for a team I liked, and I could never even like him as a Kentucky boy because no Mason County fan would ever let up on the fact he wasn't at UK.

Well I was very young for Pelphry Farmer and company, all I remember is the Duke game and I think this team has more grit than Bogans, Fitch and Hayes so yea, they have more grit than any team I remember....:lol::thumb:
