RockPride Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 UK played with a lot of heart, but ran out of gas. With the minutes that these Cats are playing, it looks like this will happen much more this season, as well.
buzzer beater Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Double ouch. UF outscored UK 20-9 in the OT...
rockcastleraiders Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Believe it or not this UK team is WAY better than the one that lost to Gardner-Webb.
John Anthony Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Why in the world is Harris on the court in clutch time? Come on BCG, I know you like his size but this kid is not a great bball player.
RockPride Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 Believe it or not this UK team is WAY better than the one that lost to Gardner-Webb. Right....but they may not recover their legs this year.
SouthernSportsFan Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Florida seemed to have had a lot of favorable calls in this one... although they didn't capitalize that well. It always seems as if the other team can hit clutch shots (Hodge's three to make it a five-point game.) The shot to send it into overtime by Bradley was huge, but just a few minutes earlier, he wasted to consecutive possesions with two consecutive offensive fouls... he and Crawford try to do too much.
AHSPanther23 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Believe it or not this UK team is WAY better than the one that lost to Gardner-Webb. I believe it. They played their heart out, just couldn't pull it out in the end.
dmderringer10 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Its good to see UK competing now. That was something you wouldn't see much at the beginning of the season. Now its time to get over the hump. On a side note that had no effect on outcome in the game...The refs were questionable at best for the majority of the game. You'd think the SEC could find better ones. I watched basketball all day today and they were by far the worst I saw. But like I said, they had no effect on the outcome of the game. UF won, UK lost....simple as that
MoreheadEagle Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 UK played fairly well just tired out in OT. Patterson plays like a senior and he's only a freshman
John Anthony Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 UK is a better team at this point, but in too deep of a hole.
rockcastleraiders Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 True. When does UK play a team that is "beatable" I think they said Tennessee is next didn't they? OUCH!
LRCW Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Right....but they may not recover their legs this year. They'll have plenty of time to recover come March.
KYSPORTSFAN Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Curious to what was said between Billy D and PP after the game??
gametime Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I've seen a lot of similarities in UC and UK over the last few week, except UC is finding a way to win and UK is falling just short. Giving great effort and falling short can be very tough on an already fragile team, and these guys are going to have to dig deep in rapid fashion...
