LRCW Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 Knowing the type of person Tubby is I would be shocked, but after seeing that Dave Odom plans to announce his retirement at South Carolina at the end of the year, I bet Tubby wishes he would have stayed on at Kentucy for one more year.
Wireman Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 I wouldn't be too surprised to learn that he has already signed a contract at SC.
HOMELESS CAMEL Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 That would mean we would then get to post South Carolina basketball threads on top of Minnesota threads on top of San Francisco threads. Tubby needs to stay with the Gophers, it's hard enough keeping up with everything as it is.
happy ol' dad Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 I wouldn't be too surprised to learn that he has already signed a contract at SC.:laugh::laugh:
mobaar Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 I'd just love to hear about how loyal he is if he did go to SC.

ladiesbballcoach Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 It is mindboggling enough to the TBers that he is at Minnesota and having success. For their own mental stability I hope he doesn't go to South Carolina. I don't think they could stand UK losing to the Gamecocks. Poor souls would be nutso.

I'm just hoping that UK and Minnesota can make tremendous runs and get into the NCAA tourney, so that we can play an 8-9 or 7-10 matchup against Minnesota in the first round. The board will have a meltdown.

ESPN would love to have that matchup in the first round of the NIT. What would the reaction be for Tubby compared to Rick's when he enters Rupp Arena?

Rickyp Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 He would be cheered, I'm sure. I feel certain that if UK is in the NIT the coach who assembled the roster will be warmly received.

futurecoach Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 I feel certain that if UK is in the NIT the coach who assembled the roster will be warmly received. Yeah even though that coach who assembled the roster would atleast always still get us there, and to one of the best 32 teams in the country every year. We can't say that about this year now can we... However I think it will be a mixture of cheers and boos. Cheers from the supporters and boos from the bashers lol
gametime Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 Round and round we go. Where we stop everyone knows...
