Something tells me you won't be as excited if Duke loses to a 14 or 15 seed come March. :p

I do agree though, since my team isn't going to make the tournament, I would love to see A LOT of chaos those first two weekends.

Ouch. Nothing like a solid upset to bring you back down to reality. I really think Sean Miller saw this coming. He doesn't feel like he is getting the same effort out of his guys that he was getting during the OOC schedule.

Close game until about the 10 minute mark when Temple started to hit EVERYTHING. Christmas hit 3 threes in a row, I belive, and one was an off-balance one with a man in his face. Christmas and Tyndale were on fire and Xavier was off.

Christmas was 9-for-12 FG and 4-for-7 on threes, 23 points

Tyndale was 7-for-11 FG and 3-for-5 on threes, 22 points

That's about the only way Temple beats Xavier. They were 13-for-29 on threes while Xavier was 6-for-19.

The defense could have been better but I'll just chalk it up as "one of those nights".

I am not too shocked. Xavier has been playing great lately and it was time for a let down. Over the last 3 or 4 years Xavier has lost alot of games like this. They travel to an arena that is not crowded, they have been living and dieing by the 3 ball and tonight it wasn't falling, then take into account Temple shot lights, your going to lose. My dad and I were talking tonight, this is the exact type of game X always losses. Xavier can BEAT anyone and they can also LOSE to anyone, thats how it has been with the Muskies the last handful of years. Its a good thing, and a bad thing.

I'm calling this the "What On Earth Happened" night in the Atlantic 10. Xavier gets killed by Temple. Dayton loses at home while shooting less than 40% from the field for only the second time this year. These were the two teams that looked like they'd undoubtedly take care of business in conference play this year. Just goes to show you that there are no easy games in conference play... except maybe LaSalle.

As for you, Xavier... see you Thursday. :fight:

Dayton losing didn't shock me much, they lost to a pretty good UMASS team led by the Coach Travis Ford! Travis Ford has done a great job rebuilding that Umass program!

I watched the second half and Xavier didnt play to bad but it seemed like Temple didnt miss a shot the whole second half. They were draining them from everywhere.

X in Philly is never good.

The bulk of this post reeks of a U of L basketball team.
