spindoc
You been to the boys or girls state tourneys the last couple of years? Ever notice who gets the region finals or even biggest game of the week? Yes, and do you know who schedules them?
Big Slick
Assigning secretary? Haven't 16th had a couple different ones lately? State tourney, I am not for sure.
NKYBOY1487
9th Jon Campbell- He is doing some D3 college games now so he doesn't have as much time for HS Basketball. Still the best in my opinion. Dan Sheilds- Very good with the coaches and players. He lets you talk, as long as your not being smart with him. Dave Canaract-Style very much like Sheilds. He lets you ask questions from what I can tell and knows the game well. As for Tim O'Hara, when I played I thought he was one of the best ones, but I really haven't been impressed with him over the past few years. hoops_gal
16th-We don't have a best, but the less bad is Bobby Hall Since the 16th is suffering from a shortage and the varsity refs are also doing JV gan=mes, hall has gotten pretty bad; Marla Gearhart is the most consistent. hoops_gal
Mike Alderman is "The Best" official in the 16th by a landslide! IMO! I haven't saw him this season hope he hasn't quit!! He calls the whole game the same way uninfluenced by players, fans, importance of game, coaches as he's passing their bench, time on clock, etc., etc., etc. He has quit. hoops_gal
16th has several Kenny Clark, Tom Sparks, Dave Anderson, Steve Greenhill though is probably the best but we have several decent officials that call the game consistent and fair both ways! Those 1st two are HORRIBLE and the other two are very average!
hoops_gal
We can't forget Lonnie Brumfield in the 16th. Very Consistent. Hilarious!!!
racer4life
16th- Joe Billman is by far the best.
Big Slick
Forgot about Marla Gearhart, also a quality official, who worked Sweet Sixteen last year in girls.
321-good
What about the 13th? Do any of them qualify as good and who would be the best?

Tiger1
Pouncy in the 9th. O'Hara is still doing games? Jon Campbell has become a very good referee, he doesnt take any crap and is of the mold of Pouncy. No way. Pouncy is not good at all. He does a poor job in HS and at SOS in the summer. Jon Campbell is the best in the 9th. I think he achieves a very high rating and gets to do the state tournament it seems every year.
SirMixAlot
It depends if Scott wins or losses lol.
4pointplay
I think Jon Campbell in the 9th and I think Pouncy does a good job. Hated to see Rob Allen give it up thought he was one of the best in the 9th if not the best.
lewiscoref
You could name anybody from the 16th and others would be able to argue. To answer a question from a previous thread, Kenny Johnson was still officitating as of December and Paul Lewis had surgery (knee or foot?).
