Well, a few posts back someone stated they just heard AGAIN, that this is now a 'done deal'. I thought you may know something factual as you implied all else were rumors. AND... I didn't initiate the fact that this whole situation is beginning to stink so take that somewhere else. Thanks!

But, if John Doe owns a local Chevy Dealership and he sees an opportunity to capitalize on Boyle's new high profile coach by hiring him to do commercials and billboards to the tune of $25,000 per year, then that is an outside contract that has nothing to do with the school.

 

I think this is possibly what the super was hinting at, something in this arena.

It was a good question and obviously not something that happens in high school sports in this state. I guess they could conceivably give someone a multi year coaching contract, but not a teaching contract.

 

The super addressed it well I thought in the link from AMNews posted earlier. What Morriss was used to and what BC could offer, in terms of contract negotiations, were apparently worlds apart. It is a long way from major college to high school.

I'm going to say this once and people who feel it applies can take it however they wish.

 

From the beginning, most Rebel fans on here have said it is not a done deal until Morris says it is.

 

Some have said they "heard" it was a done deal but that is 2nd hand if not farther down the line (the Les Miles and Billy Donovan fiascos come to mind as to why I never even hint about a done deal even if I've heard it. that's just me.)

 

Finally, I have noticed a few posters not connected to the community or the school suddenly tell us how all of this sounds bad or rotten or unfair. To put it nicely (and you can post all you want, you paid your fees) the final reality is it's not your business. Call it what you want, weigh in however you want but your negativism shows (and not only in this thread).

 

There isn't a Boyle backer here who doesn't say, "get over it."

 

Those who wish to be negative can go right ahead. I'm still hoping for a quality hire whether it's Morris, or someone else for the Boyle Football program.

Sorry, you seem offended by my questioning a long term contract, no matter how it is drawn up.

 

No, I am not affiliated with the community and I suppose, you could say it's not my business but actually with Boyle County being a public school system, IT IS the business of all KY taxpayers.

 

BTW...I think it is an extremely good hire(if it happens) for KY football, not just Boyle Co. I think it is exciting.

 

Just my humble opinion, respectfully submitted. I do not mean to offend anyone with these posts.

Hope he can help get us a "White Castle" if he takes the job.
