January 1, 200818 yr My obersevations of the Game- UK's defense made great plays all day long. - they are young and will be better next year. UK Fans should be excited about that. FSU- had chances to win but couldn't come up with plays - alot of that is because of UK D. Woodson has really become a player over the last 2 years made good throws all day. Little- may have hurt his stock by being injured all year and putting the ball on the ground today. I am proud of the way FSU faught- they are young and will be loaded. With Fisher calling the plays this offesne is just waiting to explode. Good game.

When that ball was batted down Ibreathed a sigh of relief. Congrats UK and Thank You Seniors for all the memories you have given us. The program is in better shape now than the way you found it.
January 1, 200818 yr 1950-51. Won the Sugar Bowl over Oklahoma and the Cotton Bowl over Texas Christian. Bear Bryant beat Bud Wilkinson's #1 Oklahoma Sooners. That is a loooooooooong time. Was great to see U.K. get this one, hopefully the football program can continue to move in the right direction. I know one thing and that is that the fans of U.K. deserve it, they are there every game, every year no matter the record :banana:. Again, hopefully thios will become the norm at U.K. (bowl game) every year and a better Bowl game at that :thumb:. The Seminoles and Bobby Bowden are used to this and probably considered a "music city bowl" a dissapointing thing. I hope that we (UK) can one day consider a lesser bowl a good, but not great thing. Woodyard was his usual great today as everyone played well. The Wildcats deserved this win. Maybe this will impress some future recruits and the Cats can continue sucsess and gain more and more depth. Florida State was minus 36 players (several starters) tonight and still were competitive. That is what I want the Cats to have, reserves that can still play with a good football team. U.K. football is not there yet by any stretch but are closer than it has been. IMO that is the difference between a average to good team and a great team/program. Yes, FSU was down this year and the one before but we saw the kind of athletes that they have even now that are down on the depth charts. Great Win for the U.K. Football Team and especially the Seniors who have battled and came through some very tough times.:dancingpa, I for one am proud of them and the entire coaching staff.:thumb::thumb:
