December 28, 200718 yr I'd send Chad, Rudy, Marvin and at least half the Bengals defense to Miami for as many early round picks as we can get.
December 28, 200718 yr If he was 39, I'd agree with you, but at 29 - he still has a lot of football left. 39? Wow! I didn't say he was done, I'm just saying he will soon be looking at the downside of his career ,as are Holt and Bruce. I'll give you TO. CJ is no TO. Talent wise and physically. When CJ loses a step, he will be done. He doesn't have the pyhsicallity to become a posession reciever. You can disagree, and thats fine. I just think if you can get something for him, do it.

December 28, 200718 yr Chad is a great receiver and the problems with the Bengals don't stem from the offensive skill positions. They need a massive overhaul on the defensive side of the football and they need to upgrade the offensive line. If trading Chad helps you do that, I am for it. Otherwise, Chad is still a top receiver in this league and an important cog in making this offense expolsive again.
December 28, 200718 yr I would hate to see him leave Cincy. Parcells will be looking for some new palyers and he might be trying to attract Johnson to come down south
December 28, 200718 yr I really woudnt be surprised. If once again another Chad 'rumor' falls through.
December 28, 200718 yr It will be an interesting off season for the Bengals and I can't wait to see what they do in free agency and on draft day. Marvin should only have one more year, he can't get it done next year, they need to go in another direction. IMO M. Lewis has had time time "get it done" and hasn't. I think that the Bengals need to look at that fact (coaching) immediately if not sooner. Lewis and/or the front office let some things go a few years ago and it turned into making them biggest Joke of the League.........again:irked:, just for different reasons. When you let "Thugs" do what thugs do without any action (like the Bengals did for a while) and imo you deserve what you get. Now the Bengals are just a more talented "Bad" football team and orginazation. Changes are needed from the top all the way down. JMO As for the question on Chad Johnson, imo it maybe a plus to let him go anywhere as long as it is out of Cincy andthe Bengals still could get something out of him. There are other very good recievers on the Bengals and I am all for getting rid of Johson and his "act". I don't care if some say "it is all in fun' or "the opponets are o.k. with it". My opinion of the act is it is a complete joke. (just like the Bengals are becoming......again) IMO no one on the Bengals should be dancing and celebrating anything, if they haven't noticed then let me remind some that they are a bad football team from the very top all the way down.
December 28, 200718 yr Wouldn't matter, you are only curing the symptoms. The source of the sickness is Mike Brown and the Bengals worthless infrastructure. I agree 1110% on this statement. Like I said earlier, the Bengals are now just a more talented "Bad" football team. Key word is....."Bad" :irked:.
December 28, 200718 yr I honestly think CJ will be in a different uniform next year. Not sure what Team, but the Bengals will try and get a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Hopefully they wouldn't take anything less. BTW...I am a fan of 85. Just think he's gone after this year.
December 28, 200718 yr No way CJ is not here next year. While he hasn't had a strong year per his standards, he's STILL a Tier 1 NFL receiver. What is his contract status?
