It would be a big cap hit should they move him then.

No way CJ is not here next year. While he hasn't had a strong year per his standards, he's STILL a Tier 1 NFL receiver.

What is his contract status?

And that is the crazy thing. Most of his would consider this a down year for Chad, and yet he still set the franchise record for receiving yards. And that is the reason why you don't get rid of this guy, he is to good to get rid of. I have seen some people on here say trade him for a 2nd or 3rd round pick and that is just crazy. I dont think people realize that he would not be an easy person to replace at all. I mean just look at this year, we couldn't even find a #3 receiver to replace Chris Henry all year, so what makes people think we can replace a #1 in Chad. I know I sure hope people don't see Chris Henry, because he has the potential to be a #1. But I mean if people dont want Chad here, then no way should anyone want Chris Henry here. I mean he is one screw up away from never playing football again. The whole talk of getting rid of Chad is crazy IMO...

You might want to rethink that part. He: had only 4 less catches than his career high, had the most receiving yards of his career, and had only 2 less touchdowns than his career high. All this while having the receiver across from him get 112 catches.

I think the perception of the down year is caused by the team having a poor season, and CJ had a stretch where he was held out of the end zone. The Bengals O problems lie with the line and the RBs. And I'd still love to see a threat at TE. Couldn't hurt.

Parcells was quoting that he does not want players of poor character and problem children.

Parcells wasn't happy he got TO.

Parcells won't trade for Chad.

On a side note, what DL/LB could the Bengals get if they packaged Rudi and one of the 3 WR's together?

One of the RB's are gone. Irons and Perry coming back from injury, maybe. Watson and Dorsey. Add in Rudi and no room for 5 RB's. I could leave with Watson and Dorsey if Rudy brought back some defensive help on the line or in the LB corps. Free up the Bengals to draft a good OL.

You aren't going to get more than a 5 or 6th round pick for Rudi IMO.

Like the OL that set the record for least sacks in a season for the 3rd year in a row?

I am assuming you mean the Bengals.

There are two parts of an OL. How was that running game this year?

And check out Willie Anderson. How many more games does he have in him after missing 1/2 of this season. Levi was hurt for several games too.

You have a BUNCH of money tied up in your offense. You better protect them or it doesn't matter how good the WR's, RB's or QB's are.

The true MVP of the Patriots? The OL. They give Brady opportunities to throw down the field to Moss.

You won't get anything for Rudi. Bengals are better off cutting him in the off-season.

Fair enough.

He's not going anywhere.

I don't think so either, the receiving corps was the least of the Bengals problem this season.

I wouldn't mind Chad and Brian in Miami..don'y see it though.

I don't think we'll see either of them there.

Rudi is probably done as a productive back in the NFL. Chad might be back, he didn't celebrate today. If Chad is the problem then get rid of him. If Chad is not the problem then keep him. I think the real problem is Chuck Breshnahan the DC, the Bengals have not gotten better. I think the OC might go as well. Sometimes its just time for a change when things get stagnant.
