Chuck Norris sues, says his tears no cancer cure

Featured Replies

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Tough-guy actor and martial arts expert Chuck Norris sued publisher Penguin on Friday over a book he claims unfairly exploits his famous name, based on a satirical Internet list of "mythical facts" about him.

Penguin published "The Truth About Chuck Norris: 400 facts about the World's Greatest Human" in November. Author Ian Spector and two Web sites he runs to promote the book, including http://www.truthaboutchuck.com, are also named in the suit.

The book capitalizes on "mythical facts" that have been circulating on the Internet since 2005 that poke fun at Norris' tough-guy image and super-human abilities, the suit said.

It includes such humorous "facts" as "Chuck Norris's tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried" and "Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits," the suit said, as well as "Chuck Norris can charge a cell phone by rubbing it against his beard."

"Some of the 'facts' in the book are racist, lewd or portray Mr. Norris as engaged in illegal activities," the lawsuit alleges.

This would be a good thread for some Chuck Norris jokes. No matter how often I read them I always laugh.

When I saw this story, I had to do a quick search and made sure it hadn't been posted yet. I figured everyone here could have a lot of fun with this thread.

When Chuck Norris falls in water, he does not get wet. The water gets Chuck Norris'ed.

I would love to have been Chuck Norris when I decided on filing this suit. Either be content that these jokes actually gave me a name and image again - or strike while the iron is hot and try to get some money from this new fame.

I think he has chose option C) All Above.

Folks in Florida have been replacing Chuck Norris' name with Tim Tebow. That version of the jokes is pretty funny, as well.:thumb:

Oh and by the way.... There is no chin behind Chuck Norris's beard - just another fist.

Chuck Norris will never "kick the bucket", instead he will obliterate the bucket, becoming the first person to live forever, keeping the world safe from alien invasions.

Ever heard of someone killing two birds with one stone? Chuck Norris kills entire species.

Chuck Norris's roundhouse kicks are actually 3 mph faster than the speed of light. Light could go faster, but it knows who the boss is.

Chuck Norris can play ping pong with an ironing board and a watermelon

Chuck Norris is so bad, he can slam a revolving door

Chuck Norris lost his virginity before his father did.
