January 20, 200818 yr He's a scorer, they have a lot of athletic kids who get up and down the court and dont get tired. Box out and take care of the ball and you should be fine. Not real aggressive and prone to take bad shots offensively. Thats all I can remember. Coach had a nice Earl Campbell Jersey. Old school throwback. The team we just played had 3 kids that were 5'10" to 6' tall all started and could score. They had another kid about 5'6" (Larkin) that could hit from anywhere on the floor. The Wolfpack started out sluggish, but fought hard and outscored them in the 2nd half and for 3 minutes in the 4th Quarter it was a 2 point game, with the Wolfpack losing by 6 in the end.

That sounds about right, I guess we are just so used to seeing 6 footers that one, two, three its all the same to us. I have to remember there arent many at the 6th grade level. Larkin is the kid I remember who could bury 3's. They stayed in the game with us on their shooting and quickness but we were too physical for them and thats the advantage of being a year older. It was good for them though as I am sure we made them better. Nice to hear you all stayed close with em. But now that I think about it, you never know what some teams will do when entering those BCI tourneys. We played the Lakers last year as 6th graders out there and they had a plethora of kids from all over that you could tell were ringers brought in and not normal team members. One kid was from way up in Indiana(wore a sweatshirt), a couple others I didnt recognize because we would see them in Evendale all the time. It sounds like the Wolfpack are a very good team, good luck the rest of the way and downstate.

They have split with Conner this season in two games. At Grey they beat Conner by 15 or so. At Conner they called 5 to 1 fouls against Grey and Ted got sent packing early with two T's. They have a great big kid inside.

The 6th grade Wolfpack played the Lakers (who had about 14 good players on their bench) in the BCI Championship game. Lakers ended up winning 41 - 47, but Wolfpack was up by 11 at half, just couldn't pull it out. In the end they ran out of players. They had good games from Geiman (#1) and Woods (#25). Moeves was a little off, but attacked their man to man defense pretty hard. Lakers went to a 2-2-1 in the 2nd half and made the Wolfpack guards pass to their big men to try to get the ball out of the guards hands. Overall, very good game. On a side note, Pouncy ref'd the game. The Tarheels split with the Lakers 2 weeks ago in a tourney, losing in the bracket by 8, then meeting them in the championship and winning by 12 or 13.

I've watched him play for the last 3 years and he does that no matter who or what team he is playing with. He played rec this fall with some 6th and 7th graders who are now Wolfpack and he did the same thing then. He needs to be coached on how to use his size and footwork to be succesful near the basket. He would be a dominant force if he began to play that way more!
