January 22, 200818 yr You are correct and Snyder from what I hear was the missing link for the Tar Heels. I will find out today when I get to the office if any other teams were there. I work with one of the kids moms. She said Snyder is a knock down shooter as well and just takes over games. Like you said, this frees up Hatton who can just linger out 25 feet from the basket waiting to bury NBA 3's on ya. I dont think I have ever seen a kid at that age shoot he ball so well. I hear all he does everyday is shoot hoops. If no practice, goes to the Boys/Girls club and shoots. This team will definitely be a contender for the D1 state title. Avery is playing very well also and is a very good passer. Hatton is a good shooter. I can't remember Snyder's exact qualities - but I do know he can knock down shots and is difficult to get the ball out of his hands. Then you still have McCormick and Avery as well as Beal. They lack size but make up for it in gritty guard play and hard nosed defense!

Last season in the state finals at the KBA the Tar Heels led the whole game and then panicked in the 4th quarter and gave away a sure win. with the addition of snyder they will be VERY hard to beat. I heard the warriors picked up a kid from the georgetown thunder and one from a team in southcentral kentucky. They should be better also. I really hope they have seperate tournaments for D1 and D2. The Tar Heels and Warriors are probably top 10 in the nation 12/u AAU teams.

That's what I like about the D2 teams from NKY especially the U13 group this year. Last year there were 5 teams in the final 8 at state D2 in that division. All teams have kids who play together all season and then compete at state all season together. You don't see kids jumping up and age group or down to try and win state. But then again that's D2 vs. D1....

I think the Tarheels and Warriors are looking at the bigger picture than just winning the state. They both have been there done that. I believe it is all about the "National picture" and competing with the following teams on a much grander scale aka:Arkansas Mustangs, J-Smoove Georgia, United Stars North Carolina, Maryland B.E.S.T., Delaware Hawks, Ohio Basketball Club,Texas Select 2014, New York Gauchos, Central Indiana Attack, Elite Warriors Southern Louisiana, Louisiana Bayou Flames, New Orleans Panthers & DC Assault.
