December 2, 200718 yr Anyone else agree that Ramon Harris is a liability each time he steps on the court? Someone tell BCG he is not Jasper clone!
December 2, 200718 yr Anyone else agree that Ramon Harris is a liability each time he steps on the court? Someone tell BCG he is not Jasper clone! Harris, Poter, and Coury are all bad. I was complaining about their playing time during the game and MRS. RAT quickly reminded me ......."who can he put in for them?"
December 2, 200718 yr Harris, Poter, and Coury are all bad. I was complaining about their playing time during the game and MRS. RAT quickly reminded me ......."who can he put in for them?"[/QUOTE] Sounds like the conversation I had with OR.
December 2, 200718 yr Cats have a very promising future...I'm excited about the next two or three years. I think this bunch will be very competitive come March. Gillispie is proving he's a good recruiter. Let's give him some time to make things gel. I think we'll be back to the Final Four before the decade ends.
December 2, 200718 yr Harris, Poter, and Coury are all bad. I was complaining about their playing time during the game and MRS. RAT quickly reminded me ......."who can he put in for them?" I just don't see Harris contributing to this team. He is relatively slow, not a great shooter and more importantly has not shown the ability to create his own shot or drive to the rim. His size is the only thing getting him into the game. Coury is Coury he gives it all he has, he's just not that talented. But we have to have another body down low. Porter can contribute to this team. He is not going to have a huge role but I am not against him on the floor at this current point in time.
December 2, 200718 yr Not really going to be too upset about this one. We played a fairly good 1st half, even though North Carolina didn't shoot very well, they still didn't jump out way in front the way i figured they would. Second half, the talent just took over and talent counts a lot more than just hard work. No disrespect to Coury, he plays very hard and played a great defensive game. However, his offense or lack there of really kills us. Just having the ball in his hands on offense is a liability. Can't question his hustle though. This team will only get better as the season rolls along, and with another season or two to stock the talent shelf back up, Kentucky will once again be back in the mix. Through all the negs today there is still a few positives moving forward.
December 2, 200718 yr I don't know, but hopefully as the season progresses we'll see Stewart and Legion start to take some minutes away from Coury and Porter. A must.
December 2, 200718 yr Author And UK is on there way to another 10+ loss season... Did anyone believe any different coming into the season?
December 2, 200718 yr It's at least going to be until 08-09 until they are really competitive and that might too soon. I would say 09-10, hang in there Cats fans.
December 2, 200718 yr I don't know, but hopefully as the season progresses we'll see Stewart and Legion start to take some minutes away from Coury and Porter. I agree I was surprised by most of the substitutions Gillespie made.
December 2, 200718 yr Quick question for those who watched the game. I was working and didnt get to watch or listen. Was this loss a lot worse than it looked on the score board at the end of the game ? I was able to listen to the game for about 30 seconds during the second half when they were down 18 or 20. Did we make a run on UNC's scrubs and younger players towards the end of the game or did we actually make up a few points on their starters ? Yes, definitely worse than the score indicated. However, not as bad as I thought it would be. A severely outmanned UK team showed some grit.
December 2, 200718 yr I agree I was surprised by most of the substitutions Gillespie made. I do not understand the revolving door, nor some of the choices he makes. Maybe in time it will make sense.
December 2, 200718 yr And UK is on there way to another 10+ loss season... I am just hoping to finish above .500 at this point.
