I have not seen Trinity play. But to see X, the way they move the ball on offense and their defense making the reads and stops ,I think they will come out ahead. I believe that they are very well coached and very diciplined.They do not pass alot ,but with the running game that they have who needs to pass?

If Trinity can stop the run and stop those crazy blitzing linebackers of X there can be a different outcome.

Well, here we are again! I am THRILLED for the Rocks! But....I'll have to admit that even if X wins, I'll still be less-than-devestated....nice to keep it in the family!

St. X 38 to 21

Trinity gave Cincinnati St. X all they wanted this year. Beatty has been known to make adjustments as the season goes on. Stein is much improved. St. X beat Trinity, what a couple or three years ago, 48-6 during the regular season and then Trinity came back and won the state championship. Can X stay focused and finish business?

Plus X will have Deuce stronger for this game. If they put 31 up on Meade County, a much better defense than Trinity, how many will they put up on the Rocks? I think Glaser will send a message this Saturday night that there is a new top dog in town. Based on the lower level domination by X, it may be that way for awhile. :scared:

 

Will Trinity score double digit points against the best defense in the state? Remember, they didn't break double digits until they scored a meaningless touchdown with a minute to go against X's second team defense.

Seems that CR has become a Tiger supporter... (I do like that avatar picture) Or is he just trying to play mind games with the Tiger team? The Rocks will be ready you can count on that. You dont win four out of the last five championships by being the underdog.... It will take every effort and outstanding execution on be half of the Tigers O and D to come away with a W on Saturday. Either of the two teams that thinks it will be a cake walk will have cake on their face...... Good Luck to both teams.

CR you are correct I don't even think we should show up. I just don't see how we can beat the best D X has by some accounts ever had. We have never scored more than 28pts on X and have not seen that many since 2000 during Bob's first year. The Trinity D has not stopped the run all year when we are playing a balanced team this is going to be a major problem in this game. Hety it is like MG said to his LB's before the regular season game " Their Two are better then our Three". He must have been right as we got beat. :scared:

Guys - Lets talk reality here. A lot of folks thought X had the team in 2005. The regular season resulted in a beating put on the Rocks. In the State game, the Rocks returned the favor. So, it does not matter who you "think" is the better team at this point. The game must be played and each team has equal chance to win. So trying to say that the Rocks are a 35 point underdog is crazy. If your conceeding the State Title Game for what you think might happen, better start convincing Beaty and Co. not to show up on Saturday night. I just have a strong idea that the Rock football team will show up..... It was a nice try though....
