Why would Michigan want Les Miles?

Featured Replies

With all that talent he has at LSU and I'm not sure how much of it is left over Saban talent. As I said earlier in the year they are very undisciplined. They had the exact same illegal formation penalty yesterday that they had against UK. Just enough penalties and poor play calls to lose the Arkansas and UK game. If he moves to Michigan the Ohio State fans should be very happy.

I'd say you're not going to get too many that agree with you.

I'm one that agrees with you. Miles has guts. There is no doubt about that, but with that talent, there should be no reason for LSU to be in situations that require gambling in as many games as they were. Something still tells me he's not a lock for Michigan.

I'm not as sold as most on him. I think he is a motivator for his kids but I don't think he is the second coming like many act like. I've said it before that he could have very well made the worst call of the year in the Florida game. They are inside the 5 with a chance to kick a FG and go to overtime. He goes for it and gets the TD. He has a set and is touted as a genious but had they not gotten that score he would have been the goat of the year! Game of inches:)

Les Miles is a Michigan man and a "Bo" deciple. That imo is one big reason. Considering his coaching decisions / arrogance in some of those decisions I as a Buckeye fan would love to see him at the school up north wearing the "yeller and blue" :thumb:

Seriously, I do believe that Miles is a good college football coach, just not close to as good as some make him out to be.

I agree, Miles is currently overated as a coach. With the talent that LSU has, they have struggled too much in their wins and have played badly enough to lose to two teams they should have beat. I wonder what Lloyd Carr could have done with LSU's team? IMO If Miles goes to Michigan he will not get the same talent/speed that he has at LSU.

I think Miles is a very good coach. I like his attitude and demeanor on the field, and would love to have him take over the Wolverines.

I haven't been impressed with Miles. I don't know how involved he is in calling plays, but LSU has made me scratch my head quite a bit this season.

I for one would love to see him in AA next year. To say he is not a great coach after what he has done at LSU and Oklahoma St. is insane. All I hear is how great the SEC is and everyother conference is not even in the same league. If I am not mistaken this so called overated coach is still propably going to win your conference.

That is my thoughts exactly on Miles. Michigan needs that in your face attitude back. He is alot like his mentor and if I am not mistaken he was successfull in his years at Michigan.

Miles is going to be the perfect guy for the job...

I totally agree with you...I've been saying it for a long time. Les Miles is just like Lloyd...both have 2 L's and both lose a game or two every year that they shouldn't. Les Miles won't be an upgrade, IMO.

Michigan can do better than Miles.
