Why would Michigan want Les Miles?

Featured Replies

Why?

Because he isn't the coach everyone puts him out to be.

Michigan can do better than Miles.

I agree.

Why?

If I were Michigan, I'd want to upgrade after Carr leaves...Les Miles is not an upgrade. At best, he's the same thing when it comes to the bottom line.

I'm not as sold as most on him. I think he is a motivator for his kids but I don't think he is the second coming like many act like. I've said it before that he could have very well made the worst call of the year in the Florida game. They are inside the 5 with a chance to kick a FG and go to overtime. He goes for it and gets the TD. He has a set and is touted as a genious but had they not gotten that score he would have been the goat of the year! Game of inches:)

Maybe he didn't want to go to OT b/c his team isn' that great in OT's. What's their reocrd this year in OT's?

He was at home with the most talent in the country! What was their record at that time? LSU at night is about as tough as it gets in the country too!

2005 - 11-2

2006 - 11-2

2007 - 10-2 ( so far )

So that's 32-6. Yeah that looks pretty good but he did take over for Saban who got Russell and all the other good players over the years. IMO he isn't a "great" coach. Or even the coach most think he is.

Go look up where his past two recruiting classes have ranked and then get back to me....

What are they ranked?

What are they ranked?

Since I'm almost positive he's not going to look it up....2006 class was #7, and 2007 was #4. But he doesn't get talent, he just uses what Saban left for him...

4th and 7th are bad?????:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: Miles is a good coach.
