They also lost close games to Ft Campbell on a last minute fg, Graves Co by 4when they had the ball inside the 5 yd line in the waning moments and Mayfield, when they were playing great ball. There record is a bit deceiving and could be quite a bit better, but, they are a solid team, especially defensively. They dont throw the ball very well and dont have that 1 great back, but, they have several solid players who can make plays with there legs.

 

PT's losses come to high quality opponents. They have played outstanding football over the past month or so...they are peaking at the right time. Possibly the best overall team speed in 3A. Central is fast, but PT has how many track championships??? I feel certain MANY of those guys double dip in sports! Their speed will be very difficult for anyone to stop.

I'm going with the upset. HC throws the ball probably 85% of the time and their no-huddle offense is tough to defend if you aren't familiar with it.

PT will have no problem at all. Henry's quarterback throws it all over the place and has quite a few interceptions. He is still young however and will be a great player next year. PT will be ready and roll right on to the Final Four.

Henry County has done nothing to show it has the ability to legitimately compete with a team the caliber of Paducah Tilghman.

 

Tilghman does have some key injuries. I think three defensive starters were out last week, one of them probably for the rest of the season.

Look for Henry QB to have alot of pressure put on him. SPEED KILLS!!!

Coach Martin's Mustangs had a whole herd of seniors this year but came up short again. Well, as they say, they's always next year. Now the felines from New Castle travel west for a showdown with speedy Paducah Tilghman. This could be the upset of the playoff season. Tilghman has to be looking past the visitors to the next round. And Henry County brings a team of over achievers to town with absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain which makes for a dangerous combination. Henry's defense can suffocate at times and teams have trouble defending their offense, specially now since they are chucking and packing the pigskin well. I truly don't know much about the home team but I do know their history. They will be a tough opponent and probably should win. But that's why they play 'um. What does Trimble County have to do with this thread. Trimble is home having turkey, Henry played Trimble in August. Trimble County was based on a Bird. The Bird has flown. Henry is based on a team philosophy. When Trimble beat Henry this year it was like winning the super bowl to Trimble. Why? I don't know. Maybe because it had been several years since Trimble had won. Mr. Post Toasties failed to metion that he forgot to check the weaher before he booted up the smart pill machine and unfortunately a F-5 wind blew through Henry County just before he got his results. The F-5 wind seems to have jammed a few of the smart pill machines circuits. PT Big in this one, even Leonard knows its impossible to throw a pigskin in F-5 the F-5 winds tht will be blowing around McRight Field durning this game.

If you would have read the thread you would have seen what Trimble had too do with this thread. No it was not the superbowl, point being maybe if Trimble was in that district in class 3a they would be able to get beat by PT like you are this week.

You all lost to North Oldham just a few weeks ago.

I have only seen PT play once and that was our Mayfield/Tilghman rivalry game. They close the holes fast and you had better hold on to the ball, they specialize in fumbles, very well trained on defense. It will be a tough one for Henry County for sure, if Henry County is a pass oriented team, it could make it interesting. PT has a monster of a QB, just get your running shoes on, .

You stated that Coach Martin had a team full of Seniors, I beg to differ with you, we only have 6 that even played. I do wish you luck with PT and we will meet again next year.
